Do we have any confirmation that this is the same trunks from DBZ cell arc?
I'm thinking the blue hair is intentional, for they would not change trunks hair color for pure mistake, since he is in DBS

I'm calling bullshit on Mai being young. She's supposed to be older than Bulma at this point and there's no Dragon Balls in Trunks' timeline, so there's no way she used a wish. Another plot hole to add to the list.

Pilaf and the gang probably made the wish to be younger during the three year gap after Trunks kills Freeza and King Cold. Trunks Future is set 27 something years afterwards. So maybe Mai in Trunks timeline is a grown up again. It won't make sense for Mai in Goku's timeline to team up with Future Trunks.

I know this could be nothing but has anyone also noticed that his earring is the same as Demigra? Hopefully its just a coincidence, I like Demigra but even I draw the line at a video game character pushing his way into the story.

Not sure if anyone else realized this, but they actually changed Bulma's hair color for Dragon Ball Super.

This is Bulma from the Buu saga, sporting the same aqua/green color she had since the beginning of Dragonball.

This is Battle of Gods, now a decidedly more blue color.

And lastly her new Resurrection F hairstyle and color which is a steely-blue almost.

Current Trunks still has his Lavender hair color but both official promo images of Future Trunks have this new blue hair. It definitely looks weird since even in the original manga his hair was purple but if Toriyama wants to make it steel-blue all the sudden I guess we can't stop him.

I think Trunk came from current time line not a different time line in the future, Because I am begin to question how Mai is grown now that she a kid in DBS, I think that Trunk is a different trunk in cell / android era... let say 25-50 years later....now travel back in same timeline, if that make any damn sense THAT what I think

What I mean by same time line... Trunk from android/cell era already has been killed by trunk IN trunk timeline which means Goku and Z warriors are kill EVEN dragonballs as well... HOWEVER the current timeline where vegeta / goku are facing the copy-vegeta I think Trunk came from that timeline just travel back instead it from the cell/android part, so if this true then that trunk will say my future isn't destroy by cell or android but black goku lol I hope this help

I get the feeling that's not the same Future Trunks from DBZ Androids/ Cell saga.

The impression I get from Mai being older, is that it's supposed to be the older versions of the current Super time line Trunks & Mai.
Perhaps this time they will give a different spin on time travel, perhaps it's not multiverse but you can actually change the future by changing the past.

With the new design of the time machine, Trunks' hair, Mai's age, Trunks' sword, I get the feeling this is a different Trunks.

I like the idea of Jet Li's the one, for Goku, sounds too good to be true.
Maybe it'll just be a shape shifter or something.
I'm interested to hear what kind of back story they give us for Goku Black.
It better be original, because "Evil Goku" is so played out.

I do like the art with Trunks & Mai though, I like the duo, back against the wall, us against the world vibe.

Forgot about the Toriyama interview, apparently it is the same Trunks.
hmm, sounds like it could have a handful of plot holes, bits left unexplained were we fill in the blanks, or they back track and retcon were needed, which isn't exactly the best form of story telling.

This is either Goku from Future Trunks timeline or a version of Goku who never got hit in the head when he was little, which in this case, instead of Goku, his name would be Kakarotto.

So while I think the idea of Goku Black leading to Demigra is kinda meh...there is a silver lining there. If Demigra shows up then there is a pretty good chance the Supreme Kai of Time will show up and I would be OK with that! Cause I want more SKoT! So yeah, for now I'm gonna stick to the theory, Goku Black is Demigra in disguise, just so I can dream for that silver lining to occur.

That wasn't evil Goku, that was just Ginyu using Goku's body and sucking it. Also, there have never been an evil Goku in the series. There have been evil counterparts, but never a Goku who has willingly gone rouge or mind-controlled, so it is different from anything we have seen in the series. Fanfics don't count because if they did, then all story ideas have long been taking since people has 30 something years to come up with new stories.
