I'm good with it being Nozawa; I liked her Tullece.

I think Copy-Vegeta has a different voice because they wanted to give Whis' va something to do while he waits to reenter the show.

I would only change Frost and Tights VA's, I have no problem with Nozawa voicing Black Goku though, I really like her doing deep voices like Tullece and SSJ4 Goku

I think it's dumb that Toei felt like shipping Trunks and Mai so hard that with no rhyme or reason, Mirai Mai is still alive, and somehow looks to be the same age to Mirai Trunks.

Since Toei left it out if Super maybe it was Toriyama's idea.

Goku's problem is similar to Superman's these days for me, he's become so iconic that treating him as anything but some icon you should be too chicken shit to maybe, possibly do something new with. The thing is, Superman's always in circulation, he's always gonna have a writer in one form or another come on and do something cool with him. Goku? He's been essentially off the board since GT and his development is basically over after Namek, once again, if you're gonna bring a franchise back, get someone to do cool new things with it like approach it from a different angle. I know Toriyama has his fans and all but sometimes you just need some new blood involved in the creative process.

I don't know, Toriyama seems to be the only person who insists on talk about Goku's jerk and selfish side. Leave it to other people and we always lost that. Would other Japanese writer have the balls to write something different than "iconic superhero" for him anytime soon? Probably not.

If there's a chance the plot will make a point that Goku and Goku Black aren't that different after all, then Toriyama is probably the one who would do it.

He's had a great many opportunities to point out how much of a stupid, amoral and reprehensible prick Goku is for years now and the closest he's come to ever criticize him for story purposes is in BoG. And that's only because Goku regressed into his pre-Popo self for a little while there. Goku's amorality and usually bad decision making could've been highlighted in F but F was a piece of crap so it ultimately went nowhere again.

Being the guy who's willing to point out his character is a dick puts him a cut above the "icon worshipers" for sure but they're both guilty of the same thing: they're not doing anything with it. What Goku needs is a Grant Morrison, a guy who'll have Goku realize his mistakes and evolve him somewhere just as Morrison (finally) had Batman, loner douche-bag realize he was never alone and got rid of that aspect of him.

Dragon Ball always got dark and sometimes emotional. To state otherwise is pure ignorance. Super so far on the other hand has NO dark elements as of yet. This is coming from someone who's favorite saga is Cell saga mind you, but as a whole, I like DB more than DBZ.

If it's going to be a "dark" arc, I hope that its more like the Saiyan arc instead of the Cell arc when it comes to "srs buziness." Toriyama handled the tone of the Saiyan arc perfectly.
