All I'm saying is anything is possible with the right plot twist and imagination behind it. I'm not entirely sure I think it'll actually happen, but with the right plot twist? I'd be perfectly fine with even the likes of Yamcha, Tenshinhan, Kuririn, and Chaozu catching relatively up in strength again.

Or, as others are predicting, there might be some level of minions to this arc that we don't know about yet. There are so many different ways that the side characters could be utilized, and again I'm not saying it'll happen (Battle of Gods, though the better story overall, kinda dropped the ball on that one, while Resurrection 'F' at least gave us the fight with Freeza's army, though the movie handled that way better than Super did), but there's just as much of a chance that it will as there is that it won't at this point.

I'd say there's more that it won't. Super already set a precedent for 0 fucks given when its "expansion" of the BoG arc stripped literally everything interesting about it and replaced it with nothing. The shows track record does not inspire any confidence that it'll do something cool with the concept of this arc or throw a bone to someone outside the big four and maybe Trunks. I say maybe Trunks as, despite setting off the whole Cell arc, Trunks was pretty inconsequential in virtually everything afterward.

They sell based on the unspoken rule that they don't earn much in the way of profit. In that regard there is not too big a difference, especially considering the quality.

I wonder why it's forgotten that Trunks was pretty damn incompetent after he beat Freeza. He basically failed at everything he ever did. Even after a big power up, he was treated as an absolute idiot/amateur. To be honest I believe it seems to be called the Future Trunks arc, because so people will see Future Trunks is coming back. That's it. It's a good way to get the message out that a fan favourite is returning. He could do something more than be a plot catalyst, but it seems he wants to get Goku and Vegeta to help (Which doesn't make sense with continuity), over get really strong. He still could as we have an easy way to do that with him. We'll just have to wait and see.

The idiot amateur thing also doesn't make much sense as he was trained by Gohan and spent his entire life fighting the Androids. It even bugged me in the last episode of Abridged.

I wouldn't even count on it the last arc had a chance to give guys like buu and piccolo a chance and we saw what happen maybe I could be wrong but super ain't giving me any hope of it happening.

Ok putting the entire universe at risk? this is just a plain bad Goku right? how can he be a threat to the whole universe if people like Zeno/God's of destructions and their attendants are there, I can understand with Boo since Toriyama hasnt exactly thought of making Beerus and Zeno back then yet, but now where we know they're present and the universe is still at risk? seems a bit far-fetched.

I will quit this series if at any point during this Future Trunks arc I feel that it will only be Goku and Vegeta doing the fighting. Also if Mai plays a big role compared to others I will also quit because she is a character no one cares about. So I hope that comment is exaggerated.

Still a little different, as well as Future Trunks being a grim character with grim plot developments, gives some hope for a more serious arc.

Anyway, the new arc is called Future Trunks arc, so it would be ridiculous if he comes to 'our" time just to get help about Goku Black and then vanish on the sidelines.

Goku's the MC, The big hero of this series. Him getting the glory over kicking the main villain's ass is just par for the course at this point. So I wouldn't be surprised if Goku tells everyone to sit quietly on the sidelines and let him take care of business.
