Promotional Material for Future Trunks Arc!

Hey all!

I was wondering your guys' thoughts on the new promotional material for the Future Trunks Arc!

Spoiler:

Trunks, Mai, and Goku Black are featured on the poster.

What do you think about the earing? Is it a Potara earing or one Demigra wears?

Are Trunks and Mai dating now, or just the only two survivors left from his timeline?

My theory is that the Omni-king will be introduced because of Goku Black's power. I feel that the earing is a Makaioshin earing that allows you to fuse with the dead, and an evil being fused with Goku's dead body. He then reaked havoc seventeen years in the future and Trunks and Mai come to the present. Haha, this may be totally wrong, but it's all I can think of for why Goku is back.

Super's never going to be what the manga or the anime's were. They had well drawn out scenes and dialog to adapt from back then explaining everything, and now all they have is an worded outline which they have to fill in the gaps for. I do agree that this arc will probably be a dark one.

Which frankly doesnt justify TOEI or Toriyama or Toyotaro's poor handling of arguably most influential piece of anime in the world besides Pokemon

If guidelines are executed well, they still produce miracles. Take DBZ Movies as Cooler's Revenge, Broly: The Legendary Super Saiyan, Fusion Reborn or Wrath of Dragon for instance. Solid plot, good animation & nice pacing. Great OST as cherry on top. Voila!

Its just TOEI'ss greed to make quick bucks resulted in Super, or Kai 2.0 or Kai or GT's absymal performances

Well actually Toriyama did come up with original stuff you mentioned. He'll Beerus was originally gonna be lizard. I'm pretty sure Toriyama came up with Champa, Golden Freeza, and Frost. I'm mean you can blame Toei, but Toriyama is also responsible for things you dislike too. Share the hate/blame.

Oh yay! Tullece is back! No? Not Tullece? It sounds interesting because it has to do with future Trunks's timeline. I just hope it stays in future Trunks's timeline (which it won't). I feel like doing the exact same thing as in Z would be dumb. "Hey I'm back to warn you about something else!" It seems a bit unnecessary, especially since it won't affect his timeline any.

You mean the one with Evil Goku and Future Trunks reintroducing himself to the main cast? I think it looks like bad fan fiction. Just like a multiverse tournament, a revived and powered up Freeza, a Freeza clone that's basically Freeza except slightly different looking + much more powerful, and new mega Super Saiyan forms that are just the previous Super Saiyan forms with different hair colors. I expect that the usual crowd will praise it despite insulting the same ideas from fan fiction writers for years.

1. You cannot decide if they screwed up´with GT and Kai. You can only decide this for yourself so this is not a point that universally would stand for anything.
2. My point stands nonetheless. Characters like Beerus and Golden Freeza are from movies with a script that has almost completely been rewritten by Toriyama-san himself. Whether he rewrote a script that existed earlier or not plays no role here.
3. If you only want to talk about execution do not say "Toei gave us glorious" like it was their idea.

Dont worry. My gut feeling says this is just the tip of iceberg. There's a lot more to come till TOEI randomly decides to cancel Super (thx to its hilarious viewership ratings & merch sales) & basically contradicate the whole "set 5 years before EoZ" event. BURN!!!!

It's not really a "new" picture (and certainly not one worthy of a watermark) - it's simply that Toei updated the main DBS website's home page to include the new visual with layered images.
