Hmm...I may buy some of these American DBZ action figures.

Discussion regarding the entirety of the franchise in a general (meta) sense, including such aspects as: production, trends, merchandise, fan culture, and more.

It's like the Dragonbox of all Dragonball action figures.

FEAR THE RARENESS!

Damn you, and your Vol. 07 Super Vegeta! I've bought that thing twice from the net, and still never got it... it's a shame, cause it was my first ever SBC (I lost the one I had originally... oh well, it was '98 or so...)
Namek'jin Ryu wrote:We must not forget that there was a Volume 00.
I don't forget that one. Vol. 00!! kicks ass; what we shouldn't forget is that damned 3-pack. Only time I ever saw it on eBay, it was going for a buy-it-now at $250... it's a shame, cause I almost was able to buy it, and then someone bought it two days before I could...
Speaking of Vol. 07 Super Vegeta, somehow I managed to get three of them. I bought two, one with yellow hair and the other with gold, and then in an auction on e-Bay that I won, the seller said they would throw in a free Vol. 07 Super Vegeta with gold hair and Vol. 03 Piccolo-Daimaoh. I was pleasantly surprised at that! I figured the one you didn't have would be something like Vol. 39 Great Monkey Baby.

I have to agree with the 3-Pack Movie version. I've saw people try to sell those figures separately on e-Bay before. All I could think was, "What an idiot! If they sold all three of them together and in their box they could make a lot more off of them!"

Nope... Monkey Baby was actually easy to get, along with about 40 of the other figures.

But Vegeta be the only one I need.

PMed ya, btw. ;)

And if they flop they can just repaint them with the later colors that are used. One thing though, Vegeta is way too tall. Also, they have one of the coolest ideas ever coming out in August, Chibi Piccolo action figure!
I wouldn't hold my breath on that Chibi Piccolo. It doesn't explicitly say it's a kid version of Piccolo, and as for the image, look at SS Kid Goten
Knowing Jakks, I highly doubt they'd be making any new sculpts anyway. :?
And that line is called "The Best of DragonBall" which sounds like a best-of re-release line, ie no new figures, just re-releases.
Though, to their credit, I am surprised they finally made King Cold.

If you think about King Cold looks just like second form Freeza. So it is possible that they made a second form Freeza and just tweaked form this character model.

Jakks has released a form 2 Freeza, but I think it's the one from one of the old Irwin lines.

I don't THINK they reused anything. It has different articulation, too. :)
