Man, I remember I used to freaking love Sonic and Dragon Ball sprite animations back in 2011 when in was in 5th grade. I used to especially like the Goku vs Evil Goku series by TheRedHeadHenry https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=01hdeGnn4Q4. It's like a mix of Sonic and Dragon Ball. Another one I'd recommend is Super Mario Bros Z by alvinartwork. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=825K73aapTM. I know this isn't Dragon Ball but you can certainly see its influence in the show. The creator is also remaking the show under the account name Mark Haynes.
