Of course, but it's 1 arc.

That's not the issue.

I mean, you have no problem with Gohan's high school adventures being part of Boo arc, but with this you have?

I'm talking about Baba's tournament being part of the same Red Ribbon arc, but you wouldn't know that, since you start with 7th arc and not 1st.

It's part of the larger arc and unless someone can point to the climax of that story, I wouldn't consider it a full arc.

Exactly! Now you get it.
No offense to either of you guys or this thread, but isn't arc division kind of an... unnecessary subject to talk about? Again, no offense intended! :silent:

None of it's necessary, but I find it enjoyable.

Just one question: you know that there is an arc after Cell, right? And that arc is part of Z? Story doesnt jump from Cell to GT, you know that, right?

Yes. I watched Kai obviously up to the Cell Games Arc, so that's partly why I'm watching Z, so I can actually see all of the Majin Arc. (I already watched a few episodes a LOOOOONG time ago...)

I like to call the RRA arc the Grandpa Gohan arc, since Goku is only looking for the 4-Star Ball, his "grandpa", and the arc ends with him reuniting with his actual Grandpa. The Army, Tao Pai Pai and Baba's tournament are only obstacles in that quest, the way Oolong, Yamcha and Pilaf were in the first arc.

Please knock it off with this unnecessary snark. I've gotten reports about it in both this thread and the one you carried this comment over from.

In my opinion it's:
1. Pilaf Saga
2. Tenkaichi Budokai Saga
3. Red Ribbon Saga (to the episode with reviving Upa's father)
4. Tien Saga- I count this fillers with Goku as "Tien Saga". It was 5 episodes, and he trained to the 22nd Tournament in this eps, so the story is related to this Tournament. Moreover, in one of this eps, he meets Tien and Chiaozi, Master Roshi mentions Crane Hermit. And the last episode of this fillers is about finding a way to the Tournament. And of course the saga ends with dead Kuririn.
5. Piccolo Daimao - I count also this fillers when Goku trains in Kami's Lockout as Piccolo Daimyo Saga
6. Piccolo Saga - includes the mini-story arc with Wedding Dress

7. Saiyan Saga
8. Frieza Saga
9. Garlick Saga
10. Androids/Cell Saga
11. Other World Tournament Saga - I can't understand why someone count this as "Great Saiyaman Saga"/"Buu Saga". It takes place after Cell Saga, and 7 years before Buu Saga. It should be treated as separate thing. I also count Bojack movie as part of this saga (similar time placement and both plots are focused on tournaments)
12. Buu Saga

13. BoG
14. RoF
15. Universe 6 - I don't consider 'Potaufau' story-arc as Saga. For me its still Universe 6 Saga, especially that in 'Super' they always change intro when new saga starts ; )
16. Future Trunks Saga

17. Baby Saga (eps 1-40, I don;t understand why people separate it into two sagas, it's one straight story)
18. Super 17 Saga
19. Dragons Saga

Because Baby doesn't show up until Episode 22. I say Black Star Dragon Ball Arc and then Baby Arc.

But the hunt isn't over, they're still collecting the Balls in eps 25,26,27.

True, but it's no longer the focus by the time Baby's there. It's more about him then the Dragon Balls by that point. At least from what it seems.

Still, it doesn't feel like ending until they defat Baby and have that party. That's why some people, including me, see eps 1-40 as one arc.

I suppose, but then we'd need a different name for it.
