That actually looks pretty freakin sweet, and if we got something like that in Super, that would be kinda awesome. The white hair really complements the colour scheme of Goku Black's outfit.

Toei's fumbled handling of Super is burning out Toriyama again. Hopefully, the Future Trunks arc really stands out as truly excellent arc from start to finish. I mean, I loved the Universe 6/Champa arc, but there were several missed opportunities in regards to expanding the story and some character were just really misused.

Maybe Toriyama saw how the plot progressed in the Universe 6/Champa arc and thought, "Goddammit, those assholes haven't learned from GT, have they? Fuck this, I'm out."

With all kid Trunks sword reference scenes leading up to this.

Then kid Trunks would have 2 swords since he already has Tapion's sword.

Technically they are, but Xeno Trunks a game character. Like the Trunks who fought Dabura and Boo in Shin Budokai 2.

Time Patrol Trunks is the Mirai Trunks that returned to his timeline and destroyed No. 17/18 and Cell, but after that, his fate took a completely different turn before becoming a Time Patroller.

But, as you said, Xeno Trunks is only canon in-game.

Yeah, his quote from the Super History Book is probably either from the same time or after and he sounds like he's sticking with Dragon Ball. The Champa arc was of a higher quality and it seems like they made some major improvements to the production schedule for this new arc so I don't think people should worry, Toriyama is probably knee deep in the next arc.

I still don't understand this, what was the reason for Toriyama to be upset about DBS production? Was Toei doing their own thing without consulting him? Wasn't he dissatisfied with the animation?

You mean Bardock lookalikes. Those are some strong genes. It even passes on to people who aren't related to him (Tullece).

Yeah, actually it all comes from Bardock. The oldest one there. But this shouldn't be a surprised though, Toriyama said he might have had siblings.

Maybe Goku Black himself is a Bardock's brother.
