I don't like the Krillin Owned Count. We only use it anymore because we haven't been able to properly retire it yet.

Hindsight's 20/20, but - you could've retired it after the Freeza Saga with the in-universe explanation that the counter resets every time he dies, and you opted not to keep showing it.

For what it's worth - this fan still enjoys the gag.

Good new episode - I'm a little surprised that Gohan didn't have more of a reaction to Goku's "why would anyone not like me?"

Excuse the random question, but there are a couple lines from the first episode that I still can't hear correctly.

When Raditz fires the bullet at Farmer, what does Farmer say? Is it "Dammit, I voted for Bush"? That's what I always heard.

Also, after Raditz's encounter with Piccolo, what does he say as he flies off? All I can make out is "Ah, Screw it, I'll just go for......." or something like that.

Calling it right now. Krillin's "Senzu Bean!" will return via Goku giving one to Cell. Somewhat actually did this latest episode with Trunks and Krillin since the sound effect was there. Also I'm going to LOVE if Trunks complains about Broli's LSSJ form being a cheat to Super Saiyan Grade 3 after getting lectured by Cell about its impracticability. Hell when you think about it the Grade forms are one of the few things in the show that actually follows real-life logic. Huh...that would have made a good joke come to think of it.

Also, slightly off topic, but do you know when we'll be expecting Season 2 of FF7 Machinabridged Kaiser? I don't think TFS themselves does the work, but since you host the episodes on your site (and have Taka play Red XIII...who apparently has difficulties doing sex joke lines) I thought you'd have some idea.

You know, I've always wondered why you guys never made a joke about Vegeta's weird color-palette in the filler part of the Saiyan arc. Seems like a missed opportunity.

I think TFS's culling some of the more transparent jokes is one of the reasons why Abridged straddles the line between parody and straight up remake. The early episodes are much more straight forward with it being a parody, what with Piccolo's MySpace account and all--things that are completely silly and based on nothing material to the actual DBZ. I think that's why the Krillin Owned Count is starting to feel a little alien. That said, I think the fact that TFS can produce something consistently funny while remaining more or less faithful is actually a testament to the source material, not a knock against it. I don't think they'd be able to be this consistent if the original DBZ were devoid of any spirit. The original isn't perfect but it's clearly good enough to support a quality reimagining.

It can't be done, there are still some moments in Boo Arc that take points in his Owned Count
