I don't think that's how he meant it. He's not talking about illegal downloads. I believe what he meant was along the lines of what others here have said. That it's resolution and such is a poorer or less satisfying way to watch the show.Sun_Wukong wrote:nathantheguitarist wrote:Downloading shows is just stupid... well, in cases like iTunes and such.
iTunes is completley legit. So buying something from them is the same as buying the DVD. Funi still gets money either way.
Did you ever think people enjoy watching videos on their ipod?
FUNI brings Anime to iTunes.

I have a mp3/video player and it came with some music videos pre-loaded on it that I've watched a few times when I'm that bored. It's not so bad watching on a small screen...I don't know about a 2 hour movie but I'm sure a 24 minute anime show wouldn't be so bad on an mp3 player.
Anyone that buys these iTunes episodes is just putting money in the bank for Funimation. I'm sure it costs them next to nothing to put them in iTunes format. It's more of a convenience thing anyway...ipods and other video capable mp3 players are cheaper than getting a laptop so if you are going on a road trip or airplane it might be more convenient to download a movie and watch it on your ipod than to carry around a bunch of portable video equpiment. If you don't want to buy it then don't. It's not the most satisfying way to watch anime but maybe there's a few people out there who like that kind of thing. Can't imagine there would be a whole lot of them though.

If you don't have either a computer, or a tv, then your a fool for thinking that its good to watch videos like that.
But if its on a plane, or long road trips, then I can see it comming in handy... But I can get a portable dvd player for 60 bucks at Walmart, with better quality...
iPods=good for music, redundant for movies

I think iPods have pretty descent quality for watching movies/shows. I have some shows on my ipod and its really convieniet.
I would buy off iTunes if I was only looking for one or two episodes and didn't want to wait for them to be shipped to me.
