You know how Dr. Slump is getting a theater-exclusive brand new animated special?
Well I'm surfing YouTube and I find these:
They're beautiful, Budokai 2 Opening Quality videoclips...for a commercial advertising dragonball stationary.
If Toei can still pull this kind of thing off--before this I was iffy about them because of Saga's animated intro--is there any reason why they chose to do a Dr. Slump special instead? Surely dbz's more popular in Japan.
Or is it that Mr. Toriyama would only give them permission to use Dr. Slump while promoting the new boxset?
And will there ever be a Neko Majin Z ova?

I think I literally feel tears sneaking their way out. You aren't kidding Chuquita, they are no doubt gorgeous. Toei aren't just mocking you, but all of us if they can deliver animation like that no problem for just a commercial. A new DBZ animated feature on animation par to the Budokai 2, 3, and Sagas openings would be out of this world. Considering Dr. Slump had a revamp anime series of its own, I think it's DBZ's turn to shine again...C'mon, Toei!!

If American fans made a pention for Toei to make another DragonBall movie, would that even mean anything to them? It seems a little demanding.

Well, considering they finally caught wind of our total distain for the bullshit 4Kids put One Piece through (which is only because 4Kids dropped it), it's logical they'd be paying a bit more attention to us. Who knows?

Well, Dr Slump is basically sitcom... I'm sure it's probably much easier to make a new animation of than something like DBZ, where you (a) have to either introduce or reintroduce a villain to fight and (b) worry about how it does (or doesn't) fit into canon.
But honestly, if they're willing to make new Dr Slump movie, I don't see why they wouldn't make a new DBZ movie at some point. DBZ is still huge in Japan; it's guaranteed profit.

They better do it before all of the voice actors die. Isn't Masako Nozawa in her 70's? I'm just saying..

It's smudged in the commercials. Apparently people were so fast to upload that shippuuden the other night they didn't bother cutting commercials; which as it turns out is a good thing.
Go to 7:30 to 7:45.
There's also a commercial for holographic dbz mcdonalds toys in there somewhere, but that one has no animation.

I read in an interview with Masako Nozawa that she and everyone else wanted dragonball to continue, however it was up to Akira Toriyama. This made me think that maybe this means Toriyama ended GT and is the only one who makes sure dragonball stays disclosed.

Eh, it's okay. I don't like it. It's too "CG" for my taste.

Super Saiyan Gohan 2 is getting attacked by Raditz and Nappa.

I lol'd at that commercial. I remember seeing it back in the day, but watching it now, it's wrong on
so many levels.
