Base goku punching out beerus energy ball is enough to say hes above anyone from the buu saga dont see anyone from the buu saga doing that at all.

Does that count Bootenks, Boohan and any version of Vegetto too despite the fact they weren't in the story and its a total crap-shoot what Vegetto's ceiling even is since we don't even get a good sense for his max power as a mere Super Saiyan.

Yes I doubt buutenks let alone buuhan do anything but die against that energy ball beerus produce goku said fusion can't do shit against beerus likely reference the potara and fusion dance though may make a case with hypothetical bog vegetto but no one from the buu saga gonna be able to punch that energy ball.

In the manga we have no idea how strong the Base Saiyans are, if I were to guess they aren't even SSJ2 level. Since Piccolo is supposed to be the same, no mention of change in power and apparent preference for Mr.Boo over him.
Then Piccolo holds his own against damaged Frost, which should be above Second Form Frost. Which Base Goku is in the same realm of, although I think stronger.

So yeah, Piccolo is only marginally weaker than the Base Saiyans.

I agree that the anime shouldn't be discussed here is the the anime considered the original canonized work and thus should have greater or preferred standing? Just trying work through the arbitrary fan rules.

Isn't arbitrary rules a paradox?
Anyway, both mediums are born from the guide provided by Mr.Toriyama, it's just different interpretations and differences due to the formats. Which is more important? Neither, go with what your prefer. I prefer to discuss the manga in regards to power levels, since it's more consistent than the anime. I can still appreciate the anime and while gladly discuss it in the appropriated space.
No point in starting wars where there's nothing to fight about. Just enjoy what you like and don't suffocated what the others enjoy.

I'm excited for the manga catching up to the Trunks arc. Safe to assume that the Monaka costume bit and Purple Vegeta arc will be skipped over, right? I'd hope so

Well, if they get through Hit v. Goku and Monaka and the aftermath, including Zen'o and the Super Dragon Balls, we could see the Trunks arc in July. With 30+ pages, I think they could do it.

15-20 pages Goku v. Hit.
1-2 pages Monaka.
4 pages Zen'o.
4+ pages Super Dragon Balls.

The Dragon Ball Super manga runs in V-Jump, which is released the 21st of every month (barring a Sunday or holiday, in which case it gets moved up a day or two). The August 2016 issue is due out June 21st.

The chapter ended at the point when uni 7 team was going back to earth.

Oh also that Kaioken(if it was kaioken) looked like legit ssg form. Looks like goku went, from base to ss, to ssg, to ssgss, no kaioken.

Wow if that's Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken it looks almost exactly like Super Saiyan God, the hair is just a tad brighter! The fight has many comments in between, they had a lot to say. I can't wait for a translation. The first part of the fight wasn't anything special, the second upped the ante, that Kamehameha was sweet.

Hit shows much more emotion here than in the anime, I prefer it how it was done here.

Also, Chiaotzu lost his hat.
