I never really got why people push Xenoverse stuff to get included so badly into Super but after this episode I kind of do. It's a pretty perfect way to make Future Trunks' ending stick while also allowing him to keep having more adventures. Now I just kind of feel bad for the guy, being brought back to suffer some more all for the entertainment of us guys who aren't even paying to watch it

Buu and Beerus wouldn't arrive in his timeline. No fighters strong enough to awaken Buu and no Super Saiyan God for Beerus to have a premonition about.

The "video game bullshit" was a good continuation. It kept his ending while still letting him have more adventures, instead of basically ruining his perfectly executed ending in the Cell arc like Super did.
