They probably do have a connection with Black, but I don't think they create Black since that Kai doesn't appear to be evil. And even if there is a Kai involve, it would make sense since this arc is supposed to involved all the upper gods. I am not sure what Xicor was supposed to be or why the Kais created him.ryou766 wrote:I believe that Kaioshin shown in the opening does have some affiliation with Black; whether he's Black's creator or Black himself.

Xicor was created by the West Kaioshin after she had became obsessed with the ideology that power was the answer to everything in the universe. She had felt betrayed that while she was left to die in the vacuum of space after having been almost nearly killed by Pure Boo, while the East Kaioshin went on to live a seemingly happy life. She took a sample of Goku's blood when he was unconscious and mixed it in with her own, and boom, Xicor was born.
It was an interesting concept, aside from the fact that the West Kaioshin was also the mother of Freeza; that idea was shit.
Also, I feel as though something similar might have had happened with the Kaioshin shown in the opening. He's shown falling; which might symbolize that he could have been betrayed or something along the lines.

That makes no sense. Why would a Supreme Kai mix their blood with Goku, and what was the point of the clone?ryou766 wrote:Xicor was created by the West Kaioshin after she had became obsessed with the ideology that power was the answer to everything in the universe. After Freeza had been defeated, she had no use for him since he was no longer the strongest in the universe (keep in mind, this was written before Beerus).HeroR wrote:That makes no sense. She decided to seek the person who defeated Freeza, which was Goku, in order to produce the strongest being in the whole universe - the power of a Kaioshin and Saiyan.

It's possible that the green Kaioshin has a history with the Kais and Beerus. That he could be a kai that wants revenge on them.

I thought about that. But that's IF this Kaioshin is even from U7 and shares the same God of Destruction.Hellspawn28 wrote:It's possible that the green Kaioshin has a history with the Kais and Beerus. That he could be a kai that wants revenge on them.

I actually didn't know that. That does make it possible that Toriyama was inspired by DBAF.Xeztin wrote:He did say Toyotaro could help, and well Toyotaro is Toyble. If he let him help I wouldn't doubt there could be inspiration from his design/backstory. They both look like or possibly have DNA of Goku, and are related somehow someway to a Kaioshin. That's already two hints and that was in one episode. It's possible but who knows, might be something entirely different. Also if both Toei and Funimation had to deny rumors of AF and it got THAT big, I wouldn't be surprised if Toriyama at least heard about it.
I really hope that's not the case because Xicor was about as interesting as Broly. Lol

Toyable's AF is not his idea in the first place. He just use a bunch of old fan fiction and reuse it to his AF manga. It's possible that Toyotaro suggest some ideas to Toriyama for Black from his AF manga.

I don't know how I feel about them being influenced from that AF stuff. I've never bothered to look into it because it looks like crappy fanfiction, and fanfiction has no place in Official Dragon Ball, imo. I'm a bit of a purist with DB, and you can definitely tell when Toriyama isn't involved, the product lacks the spirit and feel. Of course, he's fully supportive of Toyotaro so maybe there's a bit more sharing of ideas now, but it should still be Tori's final say. I'm not too impressed by the DBS manga, the characters look...okay...but it's the angles and shots and action poses that are so far off of Toriyama's style that it just looks like some fan-made thing and I can't really get into it.
Re: Official Goku Black Thread: Your thoughts before June 12
Toyotaro's AF was interesting, despite its flaws.
Re: Official Goku Black Thread: Your thoughts before June 12
I think AF had some interesting points or things going on, mabey some were too overdone or overblown, but one of the characters like Xicor could definately be revised by Toriyama and loose the overblown stuff. If it turns out like that, I'd be glad Toyotaro at least had somewhat of an input, especially since Toriyama is really picky about his work when it comes to others having a part.
