Xenoverse will be appearing on the Gamespot stage, and Gamespot is streaming the stages themselves: http://www.gamespot.com/e3/live/

After E3 is over, it'd be nice to see everyone's checklist for XV2. Maybe we could do that starting Friday?
Re: "Dragon Ball XENOVERSE 2" Official Discussion Thread
So excited! Can't wait to see more of this awesome game!
Re: "Dragon Ball XENOVERSE 2" Official Discussion Thread
I love Frieza's ''Oh, shit'' face there, also this is the first time we'll ever see Frieza and Cooler interact outside of opening lines in some games. Hopfully we get some whiny ''MY TAIL'S BIGGER THEN YOUR TAIL!" dialouge from themGrimlock wrote:Cooler confirmed!

Would this also be the first time we'd really get to hear Ayres and Chandler interact too? Because if so, consider me excited on that front too.
Still wondering who they're going to get for Slug since Brice Armstrong has retired. The easy choice is R. Bruce Elliot who already took over on Ginyu too, but...

Also, I love the small detail of Frieza missing a piece of his tail.
In regards to the story, it does seem like for once we're actually goign to be able to play through the what if senarios. Biggest complaint about the first game was only getting clips of what could be, ebfore making sure it doesn't happen.

"Relive the Dragon Ball story by time traveling and changing historic moments in the Dragon Ball universe"
Didn't we already do that in the first game?

Re: "Dragon Ball XENOVERSE 2" Official Discussion Thread
A certain amount of retreading is probably to be expected. It's a Dragon Ball game, after all - how many times have we essentially beaten up Raditz and ended on Boo, now?
If nothing else, the movie villains being thrown into actual events like they seem to be in some cases (like Cooler seemingly popping up when Namek's about ready to blow) can spice things up differently enough. It's part of why I was actually pretty happy that they held off on movie villains for the first game.

I was hoping that we would be able to travel back into the Dragon Ball era, but oh well.
Re: "Dragon Ball XENOVERSE 2" Official Discussion Thread
I'm still hoping that the "What ifs" and movie scenarios aren't all that we are getting. I've already ranted on this before, but it bears repeating. The personal story of our Time Patroller needs to evolve and change. And it needs to be the central focus, not an after-thought. Chasing Towa and Mira through time, across dimensions and universes, combating their Time Breakers and the like should be the focus. Not just re-doing all the stuff from the previous game.
Having Rogue Patrollers wanting to change History because they believe it to be the right thing to do and having to stop them while fighting the Breakers would make it more of a challenge and really explore the world that we're creating. The gameplay isn't really changing, so I hope they focused more on expanding the story and lore. Because that is what was missing from XV1. It needs to be deeper, longer and more involved. So that we do feel like what we do matters.
Also, I don't want the Story Mode to be auto-cleared for all my OC's. Doing that just made it feel like none of your other characters are important because you never had to go through it again in sequential order and make those decisions, potentially different ones this time, and change the story.

No, in the first game we witnessed a brief clip of what's changed and then time travel to before the change and never speak of that change again. The information we have impies that we, the PC, will have the chance to change history ourselves and actually experience the what if's instead of stopping them.Bullza wrote:"Relive the Dragon Ball story by time traveling and changing historic moments in the Dragon Ball universe"
Didn't we already do that in the first game?
Yeah, one thing I'm hoping for is maybe a bit of backstory on where our Patroller came form. YOu know, since we were essentially kidnaped from time and told ''Help us or time is destroyed'' when Turnks clearly already had time patrollers!I'm still hoping that the "What ifs" and movie scenarios aren't all that we are getting. Part of me doesn't see it happening, since all we've been shown thus far is Post-DB.
Re: "Dragon Ball XENOVERSE 2" Official Discussion Thread
So far from the looks of the Cooler scan and the Turles vs Gohan video it looks like they're recycling the same stages from the first game.
That's pretty lazy.

Ah, all right. I was just wanting to check if it was officially said it wouldn't yet or not.
I'm worried that Z/GT/Super will probably be where all the focus is as well, but I still have some slight hope they'll at least touch on some parts of DB, even if not as thoroughly as other parts of the franchise.

It'll probably be a lot of the same stages, plus new ones, same as a lot of other games in the franchise when they got sequels.Bullza wrote:So far from the looks of the Cooler scan and the Turles vs Gohan video it looks like they're recycling the same stages from the first game.

Re: "Dragon Ball XENOVERSE 2" Official Discussion Thread
There's absolutely no reason to not recycle applicable stages. We don't need them to redesign "Dying Namek", the "Wasteland" or whatever. Spend that time building completely new stages to add to the ones from the last game.

I'd like to know WHY our CaC's are assigned with the tasks of changing history.

Yeah, that seems like an absurd assessment to me. Why wouldn't you carry over existing stages in a sequel, while simultaneously adding new ones? This isn't a total reinvention of the franchise, it's a sequel.
