Daizenshuu Vol.3

Post by Strongbad456 » Sun Feb 11, 2007 4:10 pm

How much would that be worth? Because I found it online for about $131. Is that too expensive or should I get it when I can? I mean, I am a big DB fan and I do want one of the Daizenshuu but $131 is a lot of money.

Kula has two copies of Daizenshuu 3 for sale. PM her. Apologies to Kula if I am mistaken about your gender.

Does anyone have pictures of what Daizenshuu 3 covers? I'm wondering because I once found a Japanese DBZ book in a comic store years ago but I didn't have enough for it. This might be it.

I found another site that has Daizenshuu 1, 2, and 3 for about $30 each. I really don't know if the site is legit or not but when I get the money I'm goin for it.

#3 covers the anime from DB up 'til the fight with Ginyu and you can see pictures here, but $131? Oh lawd.
You can use Celga and get the entire collection for less than that on Yahoo Japan.

Thanks for the site. I've been there but I didn't find those pics. Anyway, I wanna still get this but from looking at pics, I'm pretty sure it was Daizenshuu 10 that I saw all those years ago. Anyway, what's Celga? I think I'll look that up.

That Celga site seems really useful but just how do I order from them?

If you find anything you would like to order, please email the following to bustakei@yahoo.com:

1. The URL/item no./size
2. Item price
3. Your full name
4. Your address, including telephone number
5. Notification that you have deposited 50% of the item price in USD to paypal@celga.com
I haven't bought anything through them myself, but it seems pretty straightforward. Beware those fees though.

By the way, I forgot to ask; would those 3 Daizenshuu you found happen to be the ones here?
If so, the site is legit, no problem.

People, people, people...for all your Yahoo Japan needs use Rinkya!
They're honest people and their fees aren't that stinky!
I've bought stuff from them in the past and was not disappointed.

Yup shannarafan, that's the site I found them on. I'm glad to know it's legit. Thanks. Also, I'll look up that Rinkya site, Son_GokouSSJ4.

Edit: I went to Rinkya but a bunch of features and pages on the site aren't working for me.

Edit2: I went there today and it's working now. It seems like a really cool site and their rates aren't that bad. The only downside is that the search mode is rather limited. I tried searching for the Daizenshuu but it comes up with nothing.

Well this sucks sooo bad. I was bidding on Daizenshuu 3 on Ebay and I lost. I was winning for like 5 days and then someone comes along at the last minute, bids 50 cents more than me, and I lose. Damn.

Ha, just wait 'til you get the bill for shipping! 50 pounds of books half way around the planet don't come cheap...
(but it's still your best/cheapest option for getting the whole collection)

Unfortunately, that's a very common practice on E-bay. Which is why it's always good to have a "maximum bid amount" set for yourself. That way, the setting automatically re-bids for you and there's less chance of someone doing that. It still does happen mind you, but as I said, there's less chance, since a lot of times they're counting on just coming in at the last minute and winning by bidding a dollar or something more. The maximum bidding thing, if just say you give yourself a $25-dollar-window has a good chance of holding them off long enough for the auction to end and you to win. :)

Hmm, I searched on Ebay and found the first 7 Daizenshuu being sold together for $179. That too much? Anyway, they also have Daizenshuu 10 for $60. I might just get that.

Daizenshuu #10 is a pretty thin book, it's not even hard cover. I don't know if it's worth $60 (but then again, since the Daizenshuu are getting more rare by the day, the price just might go up from there).

The first 7 Daizenshuu for $179 is a really good deal these days; the books originally sold for 1800 yen each (around $15), but the cheapest you could probably find them for when they were available in Japanese bookstores in America was $30 each. $179 for all 7 works out to about $25 per book, which is less then what you'd normally have to pay for them at cons (unless you find people who don't know their value who end up selling them for cheap).

I agree with Sailor Spazz, the Daizenshuu 10 auction is a complete rip-off, but the other one is a good deal.

Well, either that, or you could hold off on bidding for the item you want until it's about to end, then set a max bid amount and keep watch from there. That way, if someone tries to steal the item last-minute and goes over your max, you can just bid again from there. I did that just earlier today and managed to win the item I wanted to get. :D
Art, etc. links taken down for now. Will be updated at some point. I dunno.
