https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7z5EKYcjOVM Trailer for 3rd Season, it will premiere on 4th April :) It looks pretty good, characters look more alive, attacks are updated versions of 90's anime version, no 3D, Outers look great :)

From the SOS Sailor Moon profile. They've got someone in the audience for the preview :

-No openings or endings were shown.
-The episode finishes with the destruction of the first daimon(app. page 45 of the manga.)
-The episodes won't follow the exact division of the Acts in the manga.
-They are being more faithful to the original work by adding more funny faces like those Naoko drew.
-The inners got new transformations that however kept some of the movements of the old ones.
-The transformations are not CG.!!
-The attacks shown in the PV are : Venus Wink Chain Sword which makes a sword appear. Jupiter Coconut Cyclone where she spins to produce the cyclone. Mars uses Akuryo Taisan but fails.
-The scene where Diana is told to call Mamoru Mamoru-chan doesn't appear.
-New opening and new ending by Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune's seiyuus.

The trailer looks really fun. I'm so happy to be rid of the cgi (first in Precure, now gone from Sailor Moon too). Maybe Toei finally got enough complaints about the cgi?

Happy to see silly faces return too. :3

I actually miss the CGI in Precure. It was the reason the fights were so spectacular, because the animators have more time and money to do their magic. It was even said in an interview that this was the case. Mahoutsukai Precure did away with the CGI and the fights went to shit.

If this is going to be airing on television then it will be weekly, which means Dragon Ball Super is probably going to suffer a bit. Then according, Wanpack was seemingly doing key animation for Episode #6 back in January so with any luck the series will finish production soon.

I liked a lot about Go!Pri, even most of their cgi. (I didn't like the second ed's cgi). Their cgi was still better than Crystal's cgi imo.

MahouPre feels like a step down in many aspects for me. I haven't found myself as invested in it, and I do think part of it is the fights have mostly gone away.

I'd take Go!Pri style cgi back if it means the fights come back too.

I thought Mahou's quality drop was going to benefit Super, but it looks like it's going to Crystal.

Only few episodes of Season 3 are left, and it is fantastic, Toei really brought A game this time, and listened to all complains, sure, animation is little wonky from time to time, but still, really wonderful job, and i really hope that it will sale well on DVD/BD, even better than S1 and 2, so that Toei can hire same staff for Dream and Stars.

Given Kon Chiaki wasn't fucked over like Sakai Munehisa was, she will probably return. The problem is whether or not she'll be given the same amount of pre-production time. Having six episodes finished before airing does a hell of a lot of good for a one cour series.

They've done a better job adapting this arc, but it's made me realize a few things I didn't like about the source material (manga).

My favorite versions are the live-action versions: PGSM & Sera Myu.

While latest episode look really great (Save for one strange face of Neo Queen Serenity in Chibi-usa vision at beginning) that last part with Usagi avoiding Germatoid/Tomoe attacks (Strangely, Germatoid name wasn't mentioned) was really spectacular, i wonder who animated it?

I don't know if this was mentioned, but not only is Sailor Moon reanimated with Crystal, but there is an on-going redub of the original Sailor Moon series. On Hulu, the original Sailor Moon only had a "Sub" version, but recently, at least all of "Season One" has been dubbed, or rather, redubbed with their Japanese names and whatnot. I checked it out because of pure boredom and was surprised when there is no more "Serena" and whatnot.

But sadly, video quality is astonishingly bad, looking even worse than Orange Bricks, and Viz had balls to lie that original R2 release looked like that too, with is probably one of reasons S is taking so long to release, maybe they decided to stop tinker with film trying to upscale it for BD, and release it just on DVD, like Europe and Australia?

For what it's worth, the Australian release looks extremely good and it does have the new dub and subtitles.

Today episode was fantastic, one of my favorite in SM history :) According to SM Forum, half of Saturn transformation was done by Kazuhiro Ota, and he did it 4-5 months ago https://twitter.com/ningyounushi/status ... 7644396544

Having animation for an episode in production four or five months before it airs is normal for Pocket Monster and entirely what Dragon Ball Super needs to come back to life.

The amazing part is that I still see people on random other forums insist that it's still "the best the series has ever looked" if it happens to be brought up.

The Transformers 1986 movie is being remastered by Shout Factory for release on BD, and someone on a Transformers forum said that Viz's Sailor Moon remaster is what they should aim for with the Transformers one...

Lots of new projects were announced for 25th anniversary:
New season of Crystal (Possibly both Dream and Stars, since it is supposed to be 22 episodes)
Original anime will be released on Blu Ray (Not sure if it will be same quality as Animax HD, or better)
Classic Part 1 https://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B01NCZOELN/ ... %B3+bluray
Classic Part 2 https://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B01N7VQ10H/ ... %B3+bluray
