I wonder if they will go by calling the show Dragon Ball Z Super
Please no! "Z" should be left in the past because Super is miles different than Z. I'd like to see movies with the Super badge from now on instead of Z. :(

It's funny because I still do prefer the name "Dragon Ball Kai" over "Dragon Ball Super".

Z is more popular internationally so they'll probably keep it in the movies like they did in Kai.

Or they might name them Super in Japan and Z internationally.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

That's true, I have nothing against DBZ, I'd just like to have something different though if you think about it... Dragon Ball was called Dragon Ball because of hunting for the Dragon Balls. DBZ used the "Z" because of it being the last letter in the alphabet in which signals the last/end of the series/franchise as a whole. DB Super showcases the Super Dragon Balls. I hope that's the case and everything has Super from now on, like Heroes. Dragon Ball Z Super sounds kind of too long, and anything using Super's character's after the anime is dubbed and not having the label be Super would be kind of weird.

So... I couldn't help but laugh at Zeno'o's dialogue in the MangaStream translation.

So someone just alerted me to this on Twitter - http://www.viz.com/shonenjump/chapters/ ... ball-super

It's region protected, so if you can't see it, here's a screenshot.
I guess Viz are planning on bringing the Super manga across?

I know that MangaStream does they own thing with language and all (I'm not particularly a fan) but, does Zeno'o really talk in an informal/loose way?

Zeno from the hood is the greatest thing ever.
When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.

Chapter #1 is indeed uploaded for the US, at the very least.

He talks like a child, and for some reason they reinterpreted that into...well, you know.

I'm really excited Viz seems to be jumping on the Super manga bandwagon. I'm only curious if it will keep being free chapters that maybe only stick around each month or whatever (unlikely?), or if I'll have to cave and buy a Jump subscription incase they never get around to actually offering it for sale outside of a bundle or something.

That's what everyone was throwing a fit over? Are you serious? Super's been shitting on and rewriting Z & the fanbase seems to be ok with it but add a stamina drain to SSBlue and everyone loses their minds? Are you fucking kidding me? Clowns.

Good chapter. As usual, enjoyed it more than the show characters are themselves, the fights have some substance to them, etc. Toyatoro handles Piccolo and Vegeta's interactions pretty well.

Great from Viz to license the Super Manga. Fingers crossed for a print edition soon.
I'm going to assume that the reason they've made no announcement alongside the release, is that they are holding back until next week, so they can announce it formally at Anime Expo during their panel.
Fingers crossed we can get the 1st collected Volume released in Japan this past April, at some point early next year.

Why they always make this stuff region locked? What's even the point to do that?
I want to read their translation too.

Funimation does same thing with their videos. Is there any logic behind this? Because I don't see any.

"We have this awesome cool stuff to show, but only people from our country can see it."
Just seems selfish to me.
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

They lock it to the region they have the rights to distribute it in. Otherwise they're stepping on the toes of other companies in other countries and/or breaking their contract with the parent company from which they obtained them.

People tend to think that all is free if it is on the net.

I recommend you to read the last twenty pages before making such misrepresentation.

Gangsta Zeno in Mangastream.
"Dragon Ball once became a thing of the past to me, but after that, I got angry about the live action movie, re-wrote an entire movie script, and now I'm complaining about the quality of the new TV anime. It seems Dragon Ball has grown on me so much that I can't leave it alone." - Akira Toriyama on Dragon Ball Super
