It could be between Champa arc and Future arc too.
Nope, he was never storyboard artist or episode director for any of the episodes.

I am so happy to see the main writing team return!
Excited way more for King Ryû, still happy for Toshio too; that means 53 likely has battle stuff in it since he's also mainly a battle episode writer.
On hiatus.

It's nice to see we are getting more Kaizawa Yukio and Satou Masanori storyboards. I'm sad that Tomioka Atsuhiro's run of scripts is over, though. Hopefully this means he can focus on Pocket Monster again.

Holy Shit Isn't Masanori Satō the guy that has been sharing awesome art on twitter?!
If it is, I'm really glad to see him back.

I didn't miss King Ryu since Atsuhiro was been doing such great job, but I'm glad to see Shimanuki return since he's one of my favourites.
Goku vs Fake Monaka and Goku Black vs FT Trunks are two fights I find myself allways rewatching.

A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

No, that is Satou Masaki. Satou Masanori is a young director at Toei Animation. Satou Masaki is a veteran animator from Studio Junio.

Oh, thanks for the answer Jaco. Dreaming a little high there.

Or he'll be mixed in with the rest of the writing staff now.

Ah, crap, not another Imamura Takahiro storyboarded and directed episode. His history of bad episodes is a lot longer than his history of good episodes. I am glad to see Karasawa Kazuya, though.

Fukushima's back too? Nice. :3
Weird choice of an episode for him (I'm so used to him writing filler) but that's ok.
On hiatus.

So, Masaki Satou just drew yet another Dragon Ball fanart, most recently on July 5th.
Image
I wonder if it's possible for him to be a co-designer for Super, if offered. He seems to be having quite time to draw a bunch of fanarts.

Holy shit, this guy's still got it. I'd kill for him to do something Super or Dragon Ball(Z) movie related.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's filler

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

Now that I've read the summary for that episode, I'm thinking it is a filler-esque episode.

One thing I've noticed lately is the improvement of the backgrounds.
Image

Image
Those are just two examples, but in general I feel as though they are much more pleasant to look at. Episode 50 in particular had a lot of good ones, especially in the Goku/Black fight. The background department has been doing pretty good as of late. I might have to start keeping track of the art directors for episodes!

I actually feel like the backgrounds have always been good in super. Just wish the characters were better. It's the exact opposite of the yo son goku special. There, the backgrounds were a weak point but they has the characters right.

They've been pretty good overall, but I've been noticing them more as of late. I don't know if the locations themselves are more interesting or if the light revisions to the color palette is just easier on the eyes, but I swear they've been a little better. Maybe not, I dunno! I actually really like the backgrounds of the Yo! Son Goku & Friends special.

It's not weird when he wrote all the episodes with the new Gohan content that wasn't in the films. Makes sense he would be brought in to continue writing the character.
