As I said, I was going to use the Buy It Now option, but the seller closed it before I could. Which I suppose protected him when he decided to cut another deal behind my back.Acid_Reign wrote:You mean you purchased something on eBay without violating their Terms of Service? Ha indeed!
No hard feelings though.

Sorry bro, but I know that's not the truth. I've actually become pretty good friends with that seller, and he told me everything. You messaged him with an offer $50 higher than the BIN price, and then he de-listed it. Apparently you didn't evem have the money at that time though, so you promised to pay him about a week later. Well, as things turned out, he didn't want to wait that long.
I don't have any hard feelings either, but if you're going to play dirty you have to expect a level ground to play on.

Posted this in the sticky, but Amazon.co.jp has 3 more "THE MOVIES" boxes in. I'd jump on them. NOW.

That's not how it happened at all...Acid_Reign wrote:Sorry bro, but I know that's not the truth. I've actually become pretty good friends with that seller, and he told me everything. And he replied...Hello,
I'm highly interested in buying Dragon Box 1, but I will not have the funds available until February 15, 2007. I'm a huge Toriyama fan, and have been looking for this set for quite some time, and I would hate to miss out on it. I would be more than willing to use the Buy It Now option for $700 + $50 shipping. If you're willing to do me this huge favor and wait until Feb 15 for payment, please respond as soon as possible. Thank you for your time.
It was his choice to remove the listing before I could BIN, and it was him who raised the price by $50. I didn't object at the time, since I was asking him to hold onto it for two weeks, I thought it'd be suitable compensation.Hi Jack,
I'd be happy to do this for you. I have just removed the item from auction and will give you my e-mail address. It's [removed for his privacy]. Also, if you would like, when you make your purchase, I can give you a link to a webpage with an affordable region free DVD player for sale. Please respond with your e-mail address, and you can let me know when your funds are available, and I can relist the item as buy it now for 750 dollars + 50 dollar shipping. Thank you,
--mr_aoki
Just out of curiosity, how much did you end up paying for it?
Edit:
Wow, sweet deal. I'd be all over that if I hadn't just won that auction.MajinVejitaXV wrote:Posted this in the sticky, but Amazon.co.jp has 3 more "THE MOVIES" boxes in. I'd jump on them. NOW.

Two left when you only have one? There're overall 5 Dragonboxes, and as I'm sure you know, very limited at that. You actually have 4 left if you intend to attain the complete collection. Or heck, you could just buy the R2 singles, which I'm sure would be overall much cheaper. It's your call.Narutoball wrote:Only 2 left.

He means there are only 2 The Movies left in stock at Amazon Japan.Conan the SSJ wrote:Two left when you only have one? There're overall 5 Dragonboxes, and as I'm sure you know, very limited at that. Oh, I see then. Well, I'm sorry I misunderstood. It's just that when I was watching the listing with plans to buy it, and it ended for no apparent reason, I was kind of pissed off. Then you posted, and it appeared to me that you had found the link and signed up just to brag about it. When I inquired the seller about your "offer," he quoted it as $750 without any other details. I then raised him 50 and he said it wasn't enough for him to go back on his offer, but that if it fell through he'd sell it to me. And a couple of days later he did so.snaku wrote: That's not how it happened at all...

So the final price plus the shipping was $850. More than I was hoping for, but still cheaper than a Japanese buy and my brother agreed to split the cost with me.
I really am sorry about that though, and I'm glad you got your own set. If there was any rivalry before I'd like to put that behind us; deal? (That is, of course, until the next auction :P)
Wait, let me get this straight about Celga...
They say "send 50% of maximum bid to paypal@celga.com." So if my maximum bid was $250, I would have to eventually pay at least $375??

If your max bid was $250, then you'd advance them $125.Synapse wrote:Wait, let me get this straight about Celga...

Hmmph, I look forward to it.Acid_Reign wrote:I really am sorry about that though, and I'm glad you got your own set. If there was any rivalry before I'd like to put that behind us; deal? (That is, of course, until the next auction)
