Gohan and Trunks Buu Arc

I always found it odd that after establishing that Gohan trained Trunks in the future that he had very little interactions with present day Trunks.

In some aspects I wish that Goten and Trunks had each others personalities in the sense that Goten was kind of embarrassed by Gohan and realised he was dorky but Trunks would find Gohan mega cool.

Like how Goten was the only person to like Gohans Saiyaman costume. Imagine if that were Trunks and he desired to be Gohan's sidekick, I feel much more could have been made from it. Gohan teaching Trunks to become a SS to impress his father. Gohan recounting how strong Trunks' future self was.


I feel like doing this would have been a nice homage to how they have a strong relationship no matter the timeline.

It would make the upcoming episode seemingly based around Trunks' relationship with Gohan have more weight and feel satisfying.

Like it'd be pretty cool to see future Trunks witness present Trunks' admiration for Gohan.

Future Gohan was kinda Future Trunks' father figure, since Vegeta died when he was a baby. In the main timeline, Trunks grew up with his dad around, so there wasn't much reason for Gohan to shoehorn himself in there. Especially when his own little brother was the one growing up in Future Trunks' shoes this time.

But I just think it would have been a nice touch to see Gohan and Trunks have a bond in all timelines.

Kind of like Trunks and Mai do.
