I really do think that Vegeta training Trunks wont be serious training but just giving him some pointers.

So, from the episode titles:
[spoiler]Episode 51: Probably will be a mostly flashback episode where we see the relation between Trunks and Mai bulding up and his battles with Black before he time-travelled
Episode 52: In a way the episode title is a bit non-sensical, Future Trunks already knows Gohan in that timeline, but I guess the idea will be to see how he interacts with Adult Gohan given that he is obviously very different to the Gohan that knew him. Would love to see Gohan being relevant again, but I have given up on that
Episode 53: That is where the real stuff starts to happen. We shall learn who this Zamasu is[/spoiler]

I don't think people should doubt how much stronger Trunks is going to get in this arc.

Vegeta will almost certainly show Trunks what godly power is like.

He shown Cabba a random saiyan from a different universe in peace what levels of power he has to strive toward.

So obviously he will show this to his son from a wartorn future where he is the only one there to defend it.

There's no excusable in universe justification for not doing so, unless its that his body isn't strong enough to handle god ki which I have seen floating around before for why the other Saiyans aren't gods. Trunks is around the same sort of level as Vegeta was when he began his Whis training so if Vegeta can handle it then Trunks should be able to.

As for the ritual itself, I'd love to see Trunks use it. He's never really displayed the sort of Saiyan Pride that Vegeta or Goku have so he would probably happily do it.



Also my memory on this is hazy, when Trunks returns to the future in DBZ the time machine causes a couple of months to have passed haven't they or is this just some bad recollection from me. Because if so does that mean that Black will be unopposed for a few months?

Makes me sick to my stomach that they treat gohan like this. I really like super, but the treatment of gohan really turns me off

Well we don't know how Gohan is going to be treated in this episode yet.

Who's saying that he's not appearing in episode 53 and 54? we really don't know yet.

It's pointless to make it this way. It's just an excuse they use to keep him off screen. The show would be way better if he was on the battlefield. Why is it ok for the writers to kill off everyone's potential for goku's sake? It's really getting old.

Trunks wasn't strong enough and he lost his family. Maybe he can reach out to Gohan in a way others can't.

Plus if Goku, Trunks, Vegeta and Piccolo go to the future and Zamasu has been antagonised by Goku/Beerus he may come to Earth of universe 7.


Who would be the person there to protect Earth, Gohan?



Very realisitic theory I have is Zamasu using his time ring to travel to the future after Goku and Beerus arrive. It would be an interesting twist to find out that the events only happened because Goku and Beerus said it had. Like a self fulfilling prophecy.

Yes, I agree. Gohan doesn't have much time for fighting anymore. However, I do wish they would follow up with him training, and hopefully Gohan would be powerful enough to help combat enemies like Black.

He's enjoyed the prospects of fighting, otherwise he wouldn't have entered the world tournament and he was keen to make sure he fought against Dabura.

His only reference to not liking fighting is against Cell, and I believe he says He doesn't like fighting like his dad does. This is fair enough, he doesn't live for battle but he still is prepared to fight and can enjoy it.

Agreed. Thinking about it, I'm not sure whether Schemmel would suit Black. Guess we'll wait to find out in Xenoverse 2.

Definitely interested to see the Gohan/Trunks interaction. I highly doubt it's going to be any sort of 'insult' to Gohan's character like some seem to be constantly on the lookout for/assume basically everything is, though. If anything, I imagine Trunks will be happy that at least this timeline's Gohan got to live and have a family, and will probably hope for the same in his own timeline if he can ever get things set right again.

From what I've seen, as long as Gohan isn't the strongest character, battling the main villain, it's an insult.

I like Gohan a lot, and I'm perfectly fine with where he is as a character and how he fits into the larger world. I don't take personal offense on his behalf.

What I meant was from what I've seen of the people saying that Super is insulting his character, thecommon attribute taken as an insult is just the fact that he isn't fighting that much and isn't the strongest.
