Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Now that I read the latest chapter in English, I can say that I like it better than I did initially. The idea that Hit has his hands in his pocket for a reason, and Goku picks up on that, is creative to me, I also like the more strategic approach to the battle than the anime. Still, I didn't like how weak Hit was in the manga version, I don't like the idea that the Time-Skip can be broken by a stronger opponent, I don't like how arrogant they made him, compared to the more humble version in the anime, and I didn't like how he was hiding his full power, instead of improving as the battle went on like in the anime (even though, due to the Kaioken's ridiculous boost, he increased at a stupidly large rate, and that's a detriment to the anime fight). Also like that Goku not only quit because he wanted to fight Hit later in the anime, but because he didn't like the idea of being a puppet in Beerus' and Champa's hands in the anime, adds a little bit more depth to his character, whilst the manga version just reestablishes character traits we already know. All in all, they're both good versions of the fight, but I still prefer the anime version more, because both versions have their own fair share of stupidity in them, but at least the anime goes all-out in terms of spectacle. A mix of the manga's good ideas with the anime's good ideas would be ideal, honestly.
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
This actually also happened in the Anime. Goku was able to break the Time-skip when he went Kaio-ken x10 (Until Hit improved it further), and Champa was so confident he can kill Hit even if he uses Time-Skip.Doctor. wrote:I don't like the idea that the Time-Skip can be broken by a stronger opponent,
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Yeah, I wasn't much of a fan of it in the anime either, I found it kind of stupid. Still, I like the anime version better due to the pure spectacle of the Kaioken x10, even though the manga was more intelligent in how Goku broke the Time-Skip.Khin wrote:This actually also happened in the Anime. Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Ideally, I would've had Goku mess around with his IT to counter time skip, they both function similarly in that they let the opponent "vanish" for a split second to get a surprise hit on someone.
When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.

Yeah, I suggested this back when the fight was airing. IT has so many potential uses and the only intelligent one Toriyama has ever found for it was to combine it with the Kamehameha in the Cell arc.ekrolo2 wrote:Ideally, I would've had Goku mess around with his IT to counter time skip, they both function similarly in that they let the opponent "vanish" for a split second to get a surprise hit on someone.
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
That wouldn't work though. Hit's time skip is essentially a time stop. Goku's IT is instantaneous, so even if he teleported elsewhere, as long as he didn't leave the arena or something like that Hit would be able to find him while time doesn't move.ekrolo2 wrote:Ideally, I would've had Goku mess around with his IT to counter time skip, they both function similarly in that they let the opponent "vanish" for a split second to get a surprise hit on someone.
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
That's why I say have him experiment with it to win. Have him delay the reappearance to match Hit's time skip. Have him try new things with his move to counter Hit.Neon Z wrote:That wouldn't work though. Hit's time skip is essentially a time stop. He can't delay it though. It's called "instant" for a reason. There is no gap in time between his teleportations.ekrolo2 wrote:That's why I say have him experiment with it to win. Sure, he can't delay it now. He's saying Goku could have found variations on the technique, delaying the teleportation time being one of them.Chiki wrote:He can't delay it though. That was a speed feat, not a power feat. Both Goku and Hit stated that Goku out speeded the Time-Leap, not overpowered it.Khin wrote:This actually also happened in the Anime. Are you trying to say that Goku is faster than time ? All Goku said was that he went far beyond the reach of Time-Skip.HeroR wrote:That was a speed feat, not a power feat. Both Goku and Hit stated that Goku out speeded the Time-Leap, not overpowered it.

He said he was way ahead of Hit's Time-Skip and Hit said he was ahead of Goku's Kaio-Ken after he improved. Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
He probably can't since the technique's entire point is that it is instant. It would be like trying to use a Kamehameha that's not an energy wave.Doctor. wrote:Sure, he can't delay it now. No, both line doesn't specifically state that Goku outran the Time-Skip.HeroR wrote:He said he was way ahead of Hit's Time-Skip and Hit said he was ahead of Goku's Kaio-Ken after he improved. Both implying a speed feat, nothing about Goku overpowering the Time-Skip.

Goku being faster than time is just a major BS. Goku defeated Hit's Time-Skip by becoming way stronger than him, which was also been the case in the manga. It's also why Champa was so confident he can beat Hit even if the latter will use his special ability.
In short, you can have a resistance to the Time-Skip if you are way stronger than the user of the ability. Which has been the case for some other abilities in the series like Chiaotzu's Psychic Powers.
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
You're the one who keeps saying faster than time. I said that it was a speed feat since both Goku and Hit said they're way ahead of each other, not that Goku overpowered the Time-Skip or Hit overpowered Goku. The whole powering through the Time-Skip is only in the manga.Khin wrote:No, both line doesn't specifically state that Goku outran the Time-Skip.HeroR wrote:He said he was way ahead of Hit's Time-Skip and Hit said he was ahead of Goku's Kaio-Ken after he improved. Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Goku literally moved when time was stopped. You can't move in an freezed time unless you have resistance to it, this isn't a speed feat because you can't move in a stopped time through speed. Being far beyond the reach of Time-Skip doesn't necessarily mean Goku outran it.HeroR wrote:You're the one who keeps saying faster than time. Once again, you're the one saying Faster than time, which is your hang-up, not mines.Khin wrote:Goku literally moved when time was stopped. And it was never said in the anime that Goku out powered the Time-Leap. Both Goku and Hit said that they were ahead of each other, which implied that Goku moved so fast that Hit's Time-Leaping couldn't keep up with him. When Hit improved his Time-Skip he could freeze Goku longer, just as Hit's Time-Leaping went from .01 to .05. It didn't become more stronger as being able overpower Goku, especially since it's noted by everyone that Hit's physical power doesn't increase.
Also, out-speeding someone who can freeze time isn't even unheard of in fiction. The Flash did it along with other speedsters.

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
There is no such thing as Faster than Time, which is why i said it's BS. The time was already stopped when Goku literally moved. After Hit improved his Time-Skip, he can incap Goku. Goku can't move in a stopped time without time-skip resistance, he's not a high reality warping being or something like that. The manga actually explains us how Goku defeated the time-skip, and it works well with that specific scene in the anime.HeroR wrote:Once again, you're the one saying Faster than time, which is your hang-up, not mines.

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Did anyone mention the different from Manga to Movie that Goku used SSjG while fighting Hit?
For me, i used to think SSjG (red hair) way stronger than SSjB (blue hair). But from what i saw in manga was making me thinking that now SSjB is stronger
