So Vegeta and Trunks go training... Cool but what about Kid Trunks? It would be the perfect moment for him to take stuff more seriously and Vegeta to motivate him.

My guess is kid Trunks will be pushed into the background and won't do anything for the entire arc. He's essentially been replaced by his older counterpart, and also with no Goten around either I doubt we'll be seeing anything happen with him.

Kid Trunks is going to be the next screwed over character of the show.

So what word exactly is used when it says that Zamasu doesn't trust "humanity", is it a word that specifically means the humans of earth, or is it something less specific like how "ningen" can be translated to human?

Performing as two “new” Trunks

And so for this new chapter, I’ll be playing both future Trunks and present Trunks. The Saiyans stay young a long time, so for future Trunks I was directed to play him as still youthful, and not much different than before. But his world’s looking even grimmer than last time, so while he’s still youthful, you might say that he seems a bit emotionally drained. I wanted to play him a lot pricklier.

On the other hand, kid Trunks is a spirited kid who grew up spoiled. I wondered how a kid like that would feel meeting his future self? That’s not something you normally could imagine or experience, right? That’s why, in his own childish way, kid Trunks is a bit guarded, feeling wary and even competitive… I think this agitation distances him from future Trunks.

Also, since kid Trunks is still just a boy, I thought it’d be good to also portray him as growing up bit by bit. Well, I guess I’ve given the game away (laughs).

I really feel that this Vegeta Future Trunks training will lead to present Trunks doing something out of jealousy and insecurity.

You mean by the words ''ningen'' being human in JP and ''chikyujin'' being earthling? Makes sense, ''ningen'' is a vague word like ''people'' in english.
You can imagine yourself entering a room and greeting Sayians, Nameks and people of Earth as: ''Hello people/guys'' and not as: ''Good afternoon, ladies, gentlemen and aliens''

So yeah, makes logical sense

I kinda want him to become jealous. That would be some really interesting character stuff. Kinda like a kid getting jealous of the attention their new baby sibling gets, but instead it's him being jealous of all the attention his future self has been getting. Maybe do something drastic because of it.

I hope Kid Trunks participates in this training, this arc is the perfect opportunity to develop the character. They've brought him into the spotlight a bit more, that's not enough. Although seeing him root for himself, when Trunks was fighting Goku makes me hopeful.

Yeah imagine the Super Saiyan forms being like Luffy's gears, that would be amazing. SSJ1 making your physical strength stronger (Buffer), SSJ2 being skinny and faster, SSJ 3 combining both etc..

Really nice idea there, would love something more technical than raw power-ups which are making every previous form obsolete. Thanks for that idea

I think it'd be neat if Future Trunks used the ear ring and fused with Kid Trunks, a Blue and Purple hair mix up, and it possibly being stronger than if he had fused with someone else. It'd basically give Trunks an excuse for Super Saiyan 3 I suppose, or a different form. Adult Trunks + Kid Trunks = Teen Trunks?
