[Super Saiyan Swagger]

Character #56: Hit


Like: A really awesome looking design (minus his penis of a head but you get used to it). His Time-Leap technique makes for some really exciting fights and attacks. Vegeta didn't know what the hell to do when he fought against him. He has a intimidating and wise voice thanks to his Japanese voice actor Kazuhiro Yamaji (lets hope they get someone just as good to voice him for the English dub). The guy is more than a thousand years old so he's been through some shit and has possibly assassinated hundreds of people. He's feared across Universe 6 and even Champa, the God of Destruction, knows of his reputation and seemed startled by him when he was about to fight Vegeta. He gets stronger through improvement, meaning that if he encounters a fight that challenges him he'll be able to learn, adapt and get stronger whilst improving his Time-Leap technique. He disobeyed Champa when he was told to finish of Goku when he had the chance. He threw the fight against Monaka just so he could repay his debt to Goku for throwing the fight they had... Now that is respect.

Dislike: I don't dislike much about Hit at all. I did have a problem with his manga counterpart as he was made much weaker during his fight against Goku. That's about it really. I hope he shows up in the series again.

Character #57 - Son Gohan(Grandpa)


Like: The fact that he was a kind hearted man who adopted Gokuu, taught him martial arts and most importantly was a father figure to him. The reunion with Gokuu is the most emotional moment in the series IMO.

Dislike: Nothing at all.

Character #58 - Yamucha



Like: Starts out a hilarious villain with a wonderful phobia. Has a great collection of animal-themed vehicles and weapons. Knows everything about every martial artist worth knowing about. Demonstrates himself a natural leader in many situations.

Dislike: Slammed in the face with a measuring stick very early on and stays that way until he loses all credibility. Doesn't bow out of fighting gracefully but rather by whining about dying and then courageously yelling that he's just gonna watch from now on.

Character #59 - Mr. Statan


Like: Easily one of the funniest characters in the series, when properly utilized anyway. We're never quite shown exactly how the 'normal' world of DB became so forgetful about the fights they used to witness, but Mr. Satan clearly swooped in and monopolized on that forgetfulness for his own benefit, and it's been funny ever since. Despite his buffoonery though, the guy actually has a heart of gold too though. He doesn't want to disappoint his fans, so he'll often get rather close to dangerous situations so as to save face, even if he's meanwhile trying to figure a way out of it. He's also almost more integral to defeating Kid Boo than either Goku or Vegeta were.
Dislike: His antics can be a little tiring when not done properly, and I think pretty much every fan (at least those of us who were kids when we first ran across him) hated him at first. Uh...beyond that I can't really think of anything to dislike about the guy.

He was the first real "Evil Guy" for me when I was watching for the first time. I was really scared about Goku cause I knew they were going to meet eventually. Ironically, This episode was not aired in my country and my only memory is the preview for such episode. One day I'll watch this episode. I know he ends up in the moon.

Character #61:

Pilaf



Like:
He and his crew are basically the Team Rocket of the Dragon Ball franchise. They are a legitimate threat in the very beginning, but slowly become a nuisance and, at times, even friendly acquaintances. In the end though, they're meant to be comic relief. I like that he, Shuu, and Mai have been brought back for the new movies and in Super as recurring characters; they add a bit of flavor to the normal cast of characters. Pilaf is technically a bad guy, but he comes across as friendly at times towards Goku and friends, most likely out of fear for how powerful Goku is now. Overall, he's just a fun character who started the franchise as the first major villain and has now been revived as a comic relief bad guy in Super. Also, the above image is hilarious.

Dislike:
His appearance in GT, along with Shuu and Mai, doesn't have much relevance beyond wishing for Goku to be a kid again. BoG's, RF's, and Super's approach to reviving Pilaf and crew is much more effective and memorable. Also, he can be a bit of a jerk sometimes, but I suppose that's part of what makes him a good small-time villain.

Likes: A good, powerful villain who couldn't be beat by simply "More power will destroy him for sure!"
Dislikes: Killed by Goku when #18 clearly should've. Also, not specific to the character, but his arc made little to no sense.

Character #65: Appule (アプール Apūru)



Like:

• One of the only non-filler/non-game Freeza arc insignificant henchmen to be given a proper name in the manga.
• Because he gets some speaking lines, we get a chance to see/hear a bit more of what it's like to actually BE one of Freeza's OTHER henchmen.
• The purple color scheme just plain ol' looks great.
• He's always remembered by authors for things like the KochiKame crossover.

Dislike:

• It's a bit difficult to assign exact events to Appule since the role was seemingly split up a bit between the manga and the TV adaptation with him and Oran.
• My joke stopped being funny (if it ever was?) once they started including him as a playable character in fighting games.

(and obviously X-Baby as the other bodies are just used as host by Baby as long as he is the active consciousness)



Likes:
I guess he is a better Cell than Cell.
His final design when he uses Vegeta as host is cool.
I love the introduction of Baby, when the camera zooms through the field and shows that there has been "somewhere in a dark corner of the universe" this demise of the Saiyajin in a container all that time

Character #67: Android 17/Lapis



Like: The second most handsome character ever created in Dragon Ball. Future Trunks is sexy as hell.

Dislike: He ultimately contributes nothing to the plot after getting brought back to life after the Cell Games, and any character development he goes though happens off-screen. He, along with 18, were really missed opportunities in the backstory department.

CHARACTER #68: 北の界王様　(Kaiou)

Likes:
-Master of both comedy and martial arts.
-Taught Gokuu the Genki dama and the Kaiouken.
-His knowledge and telepathy is useful.
Dislikes:
-Nowadays only shows up when Gokuu wants to train at and trash his planet.

Character # 69 ( ): Android #16



Like: His design is pretty cool, and his attacks are awesome. His fight against 1st form Cell is one of my favorite parts of the anime.

Dislike: He was cut down before his time. He didn't come back after the Cell Games. They could have rebuilt him, or something.

Character # 70: Paikūhan

Likes: He fought Goku in the other World Tournament, and was one of the strongest fighters there. He took out Freeza, King Cold, the entire Ginyu Force, and Cell so easily that it was shocking. He reminds me so much like Piccolo too. He enjoys meditating, and even Goku remarked that he and Piccolo would have gotten along great. Such an underrated character. Heroic.

Dislikes: That he was a filler character and was never in the Manga. I wanted to know more about his backstory, such as how he died, and how he got so strong, etc.
