FIrst of all, it's 4 and a half episodes. That are like 3 minutes long. You're expecting a lot of exposition if you want all those questions answered.FoolsGil wrote:So instead of explaining anything, another sub plot was added, worst, it has nothing to do with the planet Absalon. Great.
Hey, explain to me the point of Absalon. Why are the villains doing this? What is the point? Why are they so much stronger than our heroes? Because I don't understand this series at all. For all of Super's many faults Toei and Toriyama know story structure. 4 and a half episodes in 5 years-we know nada.saiyanvegetable wrote:It's much more creative to be honest. There's a lot of fanservice but the characters seem to be better written and overall its much more entertaining. The fights rival Super's high point so I don't know what the complaint there is. It has much more of a cohesive plot than Super as welll..you're all either biased or..biased.miguelnuva1 wrote:Nothing makes me sadder for the fan base when I see people say that Absalon has a better plot and animation then Super. Number 1 Super's plot would be praised if we didn't get the movies before it and number two episode 5 of super looks as good or better than the best Absalon.
I like Absalon for what it is just like I like any other fanfiction but it's not as good as Super.
Two, this is one guy. One man team. Seriously, think about it. (*even if he is kind of a dick)
Absalon isn't a masterpiece. The dialogue is cheesy as hell, the dub is terrible, and people are right when it's gone down the "Dragonball Doomsday" route. But it's an interesting take that doesn't fuck with the main canon, has really entertaining fights, and doesn't try to be anything it's not. It's GT on steroids. It is what it is - one guy who loves Dragonball Z and saw The Dark Knight probably like a hundred times.
