Ripping dragon box season 6 episodes

I've been ripping the dvds onto my computer with MakeMKV. (NOTE: not for piracy but for pure convenience of watching them without swapping dvds all the time. Also they are R1 discs and I'm from australia so playing them off the USB is much easier than finding a compatible dvd player. I would appreciated if we skipped the whole piracy banter. thanks)

when i tried to rip season 6, firstly it came up as 1 full video, it didnt split up the episodes. which i then tried to split them up via chapters but then i found the audio actually cuts out when the NEP starts. I watched it off the dvd and the audio is fine.

does anyone know why this happens? how to fix it? or an alternative program that will work better?

I've ripped season 1 successfully with no problems at all. its just season 6

While this does not solve your issue, but the Dragon Boxes from FUNi are compatible in Australia, they are region 1,4.

You're far from being the first person to ever rip your dragon box dvd to mkv. I'm not going to go through the entire process, a simple google search will give you everything you need to do it.

Essentially you use a program like dvd decrypter to rip each episode individually with all streams separated such as the audio/video/subtitles, then use a program like handbrake to combine and encode all the streams for the episode into an mkv file.
