Of course, but the anime is an adaptation of the manga. It should follow the rules of the original work. And the color changes when a saiyan turns Super Saiyan (or Bluma and Trunks who don't have the same hair color) is not part of the manga's rules. Therefore it should be corrected.

The manga was also in black & white...

And unless Toriyama did the coloring himself in the color chapters, how do we know that liberties weren't taken by the colorist just like they may have been by the animators?

Does someone know who animated this ending? I'm aware that Yamamuro did it but I'm not really sure. I mean I really like how the ilustrations look and it will surprise me if Yamamuro did them xD that means he still is capable of doing such desings and what we get now from him is just that he has now bad taste.

EDIT: There are even some highlights used in the illustrations but for some reason i'm not bothered by them.

It makes me wonder what the color designer is thinking with his current approach to Super, when his color choices were perfectly fine in the Kai ending.

It was animated by Yamamuro but Ishitana Magumi was the director and also provided the storyboards.

Toriyama did color some pages by himself. Here is the list of original colored chapters

I wouldn't mind if all of modern Dargonball looked like this.

I saw a few of the other edits to the two images a couple pages ago and decided to take a quick whack at it. I tried to stay as close to the original cels as possible but took some liberties with shading, especially in the SSJ2 Goku still, to update the old palette and keep everything visually pleasing (at least on my monitor).

These look great. Very modern while still keeping in with the series' visual style.

Why people keep hating Yamamuro so much? Did the guy do something bad? I see his work and he is quite talented. Episode 13 in Super continues to be one of the best episodes in the series

I think its because Yammamuro is the reason why almost all modern Dragonball animation is stiff and has barely any personality.

I am convinced some people have something personal against him.

Actually, that's not true. At least, not in the manga:
ImageImage
His gi doesn't get yellow-ish when Gokû turns Super Saiyan 3 like in the anime. The colors don't change. I appreciate that they corrected this.

Though, I really dislike Gokû's gi red-ish color in Super.
I would at least draw a comparison to his illustrations, rather than the chapter, before coming a definitely conclusion.
It should also be noted, that when SS3 debuted, Toriyama drew Goku's undershirt, wristbands and belt with grayscale giving of the impression of lot of light, justifying the anime brighting up his clothes.

More important, It's a problem how Toei is handling the transformations, they used to be more epic with the flashes but now it is lifeless. The SSJ3 transformation is disgusting, I really hate it, I'm glad Goku hardly ever uses it.

Yeah, his new character designs are absolutely atrocious.

That looks fantastic. SSJ2 Goku in particular looks wonderful.
