How do you guys like Goku Black as a character so far? I think he is the best villain in the show yet and probably the best villain that we had in a while. I like his motivations so far with his idea of "the sake of justice" and humans are a failure to god. It's better than what Tullece was in Tree of Might, who just want to come to Earth to plant the tree, find Goku and kill everyone. Not to mention there is a lot of mystery behind his character and Masako Nozawa does a great job on giving a very creepy and dark tone of voice for him.

He tops Freeza for me, (Which is my favorite all time villain of any series) I love the character and the mystique. We know so much yet so little and those moments where he acts like he is unaware of what or who he is - amazing. He acts like he's unaware of his strength, or why he is doing what he's doing almost like he's programmed. I honestly think he just kills humanity because he doesn't know what his purpose is and finds it fun. Those evil smirks he does is awesome, I love it when he just leaves a trail of fire and destruction. When he laughs after getting the spit knocked out of him, that puts him over the top for me.

I agree with what you wrote. One of my favorite things about Black is the fact that he takes pleasure in receiving pain. I mean, come on! And he looks awesome to boot.

I love Goku Black, not just because Nozawa is doing a wonderful job voicing him, but becasue he one of, if not, the first villain introduced in the franchise that doesn't have a shallow motivation or purpose. What Dragon Ball has always been desperately lacking in is a complex villain. And so far, the groundwork for Goku Black being the three dimensional villain that the franchise has really needed has been laid out brilliantly. Now it's just up to Toei and Toriyama to make sure they don't drop the ball with this guy. If they nail the execution and pay of Goku Black, I strongly believe he will go down as the best villain the franchise has ever had. And it's remarkable that it could lead to that for me, considering I practically groaned at the idea of "Evil Goku" in Super. They have really manged to make it work so far.

I honestly don't know how they will kill Black off, he loves the pain and if he get's stronger than Goku we're going to have a problem here unless he has some kind of weakness outside of fighting.

I like him a lot. I'd say he probably beats out King Piccolo as my favorite Db villain as a whole. Before anyone says anything, I like King Piccolo for his cunning and thinking ahead. Something a LOT of villains I feel lacked in that department/didn't really utilize it. (with the exception of Piccolo Jr. and MAYBE Baby.) Seriously, the mysterious evil vibe he gives is so chilling, I love it! However, I'll admit, I'm a little sad that Black isn't simply an Evil Goku, (as in Goku HIMSELF becomes evil, not some look-alike. Looking at you, Turles...) but the mystery surrounding and just who or WHAT he is, more than makes up for it!

So far so good, hope Toei won't screw it up so he can end up being the best villain of the franchise. It has a very good potential.

Black Gokuu is a good villain no doubt about that. Nozawa for me has delivered her 2nd best performance as him after Gokuu and Bardock. Black has managed to keep the arc interesting so far. Every scene in which he is involved is SO GOOD. I can't wait to see his identity reveal but i wouldn't call him the best villain in DB as of yet.

I've been having so much fun theorizing on Gokû Black's origins that I'm not sure how I'll feel (Excited? Disappointed? Relieved?) when we do finally get his real backstory in a couple (?) weeks.

I personally think Goku Black should definitely be killed off. But in a dramatic, over-the-top fashion like with Perfect Cell and Kid Buu. Goodness I miss that sort of intensity.

With that said, I get the feeling after his real identity is revealed, he's going to turn good or neutral eventually. Blah.

And as for what I feel about Goku Black, I think he's the only good thing to come from Super... so far.

His serious personality is something Super hes been lacking so that alone is enough to keep him around.

If he survives he'll make watching Super a lot easier.

He has to be killed off just like the other villains though right? I don't see any redemption in whoever Black is, kinda like Freeza. I think he's going to get so powerful that whatever ending they try to give him will be underwhelming to his character like with the Broly thing.
