They attacks were just said to be unrestrained, but nothing like beerus being at a higher power level (than BoG level) was said, so I assume they were unrestrained blasts from max suppressed beerus (as in BoG)RandomGuy96 wrote:Then he was holding back. By a lot. Because we know for a fact that he's many, many times stronger than Goku and Vegeta even as SSBs, to say nothing of their base forms. If he wasn't holding back, they'd be dead.

Well they weren't his best attacks by any means anyway. He turned over in his sleep and caught them with a foot and tail to the face and it was only a small blast and nothing like the blast he threw at Goku in the movie.
But those attacks would have wiped Gohan out.

What are you basing this off of? It doesn't matter if they weren't "his best attacks", at this disparity of power he could literally kill any of them with a poke if he was truly "not holding back".Bullza wrote:Well they weren't his best attacks by any means anyway. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.
Re: Dragon Ball Super: Power Level Discussion Thread
Well they said he holding back (twice) and that's all you can take it as. Whether his power has been retconned since then who knows but as of that moment, Base Goku and Vegeta remained concious after being hit by attacks that were described as Beerus not holding back, Enraged Vegeta was knocked unconscious by a Beerus that was severely holding back and Enraged Vegeta was stronger than Gohan.
Re: Dragon Ball Super: Power Level Discussion Thread
Doesn't look like there's anything to really discuss from this weeks episode.
However the preview was interesting, looks like Zamasu punks Super Saiyan Goku at least. Couldn't tell if Goku had turned Super Saiyan 2 even, thought I saw a spark briefly. Definitely seems to be much stronger than the Supreme Kai's were familiar with though.

Then again, the description was wrong. Because we ALWAYS knew that Beerus would kill any of them with one hit if it was truly "not holding back". The disparity is more than big enough between base Goku and full power Beerus for that.Bullza wrote:Well they said he holding back (twice) and that's all you can take it as. SSJ3 Gotenks is just a joke right now.Darkron2151 wrote:

Something that isn't clear to me yet, was Goku fighting in SSJ or SSJ2 against Trunks? I think he was only in SSJ because of the hair style, but that "so Super Saiyan 2, then me too" he says before transforming really confuses me.
Re: Dragon Ball Super: Power Level Discussion Thread
I'm sure he could but a non held back Beerus turning over in his bed and them getting caught by his foot is something they can apparently withstand.RandomGuy96 wrote:Then again, the description was wrong. A proper martial arts kick to the face with killing intent would be another matter.
This isn't about Base Goku standing a chance against Beerus this is about why Base Goku is superior to Gohan because Gohan would not be able to withstand that same foot to the face and remain concious.
Re: Dragon Ball Super: Power Level Discussion Thread
Power levels are bs they stopped being relevant during the android saga

Ofc ssj3 gotenks is a joke now ^^. We r in the 4th arc in DB super lol.Alee9977 wrote:SSJ3 Gotenks is just a joke right now.Darkron2151 wrote:

And goku was ssj2, they just messed up his hair, and made it ssj1.
Still tho, as hard as it may be for some, seems blackand ssj2 trunks are above ssj3 gotenks.
Also, love that future trunks can go ssj2 ^^. Since he is my favorite character, i always wanted him to be a ssj2. And i always imagined if buu came in his future, hed get to ssj2 and end the buu saga quickly, unlike the z fighters hehe.
Dream come true ^^

Does the newest episode of Super imply that Gohan is weaker than his Cell Games self now?
Re: Dragon Ball Super: Power Level Discussion Thread
Yes, it does.Bullza wrote:Does the newest episode of Super imply that Gohan is weaker than his Cell Games self now?
Re: Dragon Ball Super: Power Level Discussion Thread
It's a bit weird how they've handled him because he was weaker than Piccolo in Base form during the Cell Games but was then much stronger than Piccolo during the RoF arc.dbgtFO wrote:Yes, it does.Bullza wrote:Does the newest episode of Super imply that Gohan is weaker than his Cell Games self now?
Then he trained with Piccolo and would have grown stronger from that but then only months have supposed to have gone by I think and I don't know if he's supposed to weaker than he was at the Cell Games now.
That whole thing with Gohan being retrained really screwed things up because it could have just been a continued progressive decline otherwise.
Re: Dragon Ball Super: Power Level Discussion Thread
We're supposed to believe that Trunks expects regular Gohan, who's not even fighting to be even close to SSJ2 CG Gohan? I would buy it if a character told Trunks about Mystic, since they didn't I will read that line as "Gohan is different, softer than before". Not a power statement in my opinion.dbgtFO wrote:Yes, it does.Bullza wrote:Does the newest episode of Super imply that Gohan is weaker than his Cell Games self now?
Re: Dragon Ball Super: Power Level Discussion Thread
It's not like anything is established on how long they had been training together.Bullza wrote:That whole thing with Gohan being retrained really screwed things up because it could have just been a continued progressive decline otherwise.
Since Gohan also makes it sound like they only just begun, it could literally just be the case, that this was their first training session, since RoF and Gohan then after his conference never revisited it again, because he thought fuck it
That would maintain the progressive decline.
I don't trust Toei's writing staff to be reasonable, so yeah, I just take this as straight up power statement.LightBing wrote:We're supposed to believe that Trunks expects regular Gohan, who's not even fighting to be even close to SSJ2 CG Gohan? Re: Dragon Ball Super: Power Level Discussion Thread
I guess that's fair. Do you take all these statements at face value? Like Goku saying Piccolo will be a tough adversary in the harvest training. Implying Piccolo is close to Base Goku.dbgtFO wrote:I don't trust Toei's writing staff to be reasonable, so yeah, I just take this as straight up power statement.

Good question, how does Piccolo relate to base Goku and Gohan and Trunks and Frost?

Trunks should struggle a lot against Super Saiyan Goku, Gohan is going backwards by the second so no point talking about him. Frost/ Trunks is slightly stronger than Piccolo.TheMikado wrote:Good question, how does Piccolo relate to base Goku and Gohan and Trunks and Frost?
