I played VRVS!

Post by Kendamu » Tue Jan 16, 2007 11:16 am

Hey, guys. I like in Terre Haute, IN and there's a place called eBash that has a custom-made arcade machine with MAME loaded onto it. Out of the buh-million games they have on that machine, there is Dragonball Z VRVS (and a couple other Dragonball Z fighters). Contrary to the "meh" sort of response I hear about the game, it's actually pretty fun! It's like playing Punch-Out except that you have a special move, too (and not just the opponent).

I finally got tired of losing when I got to about the 5th stage because I didn't know the controls all too well, but now that I know more of what I'm doing (thanks to the bottom of this page) I can go back this weekend when I get some time and kick some major ass!

Hey, another guy from the good ol' "Crossroads of America"! Konnichi wa!
I'm not sure I know what this game is. Do you have any screen shots?

That looks pretty fun. I wish I could find machines like that locally, and by the way your signature, in your recent purchases part it says ''Sparking! (US Ver.)'' em it's called Tenkaichi .

I know, but my sig is running long as is in terms of character limit so I figured "Sparking! (US Ver)" would take less space than "Budokai Tenkaichi."

This game is really fun, and very fast-paced. I have this game on rom, on MAME. I still play it once in a while. But it sucks using the keyboard. And arcade stick, or even a regular controller, would be nice.

He always beats me up so bad.
But the game is fairly enjoyable to play.

You know, this game might be one of the rarest and most expensive (if actually for sale) arcade boards on the planet. I say this because I've never, EVER seen one for sale anywhere, or heard of one ever being sold. And when I say never, I mean never. It's too bad the Dragon Ball arcade games weren't converted into some kind of collection for a home console (besides MAME). It's a shame because the game is loads of fun.

This game is actually really fun. I have the arcade board and it wasn't to expensive. You should be able to pick it up if you are patient and keep an eye on Ebay.

Actually, Punch Out HAS a special move but you have to earn a star to use it.
Jord doesn't have a avatar because the combination of Jord and a equally cool avatar would cause the universe to implode.
