Retellings...I wouldn't do them...at all. Never should have been made. Should have kicked the show off with the Champa arc. But if I really had to make them...

Beerus Arc

-Tell a different story with similar beats. Do not just tell a lamer version of the movie. Be an interesting re-imagining like Silent Hill Shattered Memories or the new Star Trek Movies.

-Throw back in Goku being upset with being spoonfed such power. I really liked this more then Beerus' CRAWLING IN MY SKIIIIIIN, MY WOUNDS THEY DO NOT HEAAAAL!

-Gohan has been training in his spare time. He learned his lesson from the the Boo arc, but he hasn't been training diligently as of course he has other duties. He's at least kept himself around the same level as to not make another mistake in the Boo arc. GROWTH AND LEARNING! Though his training is mainly just exercise, so his technique suffers rather than power.

-Beerus stomps everyone again. He is impressed Gohan is even stronger than Goku without transforming, but he comments on his appalling fighting technique. Let this be his rust instead of his power massively dropping.

-Remove the garbage LOLRAGETA. Have it be heartfelt that Vegeta's trying his hardest to avenge his wife, but Beerus out does him. Let this build up for Vegeta wanting to pay Beerus back for this, and so that's why he trains much harder. He doesn't settle with Beerus as a pal. Goku is now his friend, but Beerus is his rival/enemy. He doesn't like having to fear or be worried about a threat like him. Now Vegeta has a DIFFERENT MOTIVATION FROM GOKU. A different goal to reach.

-No boat environment. That was dull as shit. The original party was fine.

-The Namekian Book of legends sets the seeds for Piccolo return in the Champa arc. We don't have him be awesome just yet.

-SSJ God takes expert ki control, calm mindset, and discipline to use. So it can't be easily replicated. Hence why Goku is the perfect candidate for it. This is why Gohan and the others can't just have it easily. If they want it, they'd need to train and discipline their own powers first, before they take on a whole new realm.

-Goku loses SSJ God, but the power is still within him. However it's called out by the form itself. No odd stupid OP Base crap. When Goku almost fails to protect the earth, he becomes SSJ God like in the movie, and saves the planet.

-After the arc Goku wants training to bring out the God form as it has a time limit from the ritual, but his discovery shows he can use it full time if he learns how to access that new well of hidden power. With training from the gods, he can now as he wanted, work to achieve his new God power instead of practically already having it by the end.

-Vegeta does the ritual too because train really hard for God Power is dumb. Way to trivialize SSJ God ritual by making the realm of the gods something mortals can feasibly reach.

-Their training leads to being able to always use SSJ God, thus getting rid of the garbage SSJB. We didn't need that form, and losing SSJ God so soon was stupid. Also keep it so while Goku and Vegeta are training, we don't know whether Vegeta unlocked God or not. They just got strong together during their training.

- Outer Space. We see someone looking at earth from inside a spaceship. It is two people talking with each other. There is also a monitor showing some other activity.
- They say the Dragon Balls have been collected and now the time to hop into action and make the wish has come
- Zoom to the monitor showing Pilaf and the others. They lay down the Dragon Balls relieved that they are now collected again.
- A funny coversation about what they should wish for happens, Pilaf is blamed for messing up their chance twice already
- They summon Shenlong
- Tagoma and Sorbet come in interfere
- They claim the wish, Freeza gets revived after Shenlong hesitates
- Shu steals the second wish
- Freeza gets restored in his Final Form
- The henchmen are not sure if it is Freeza, Sorbet says he has heard legends about what Freeza truly looks like and it is a true honor to see him like this
- Freeza wakes up and wants his revenge, he does not say any nonsense about "that Majin Boo? papa told me to be careful about majin boo and beerus", the conversation is like:

Sorbet: "Several reports have informed us about Son Goku facing off against a variety of fierceful enemies, my lord. Not too long ago he has fought against the Demonic Boo and Beerus the Destroyer."
Freeza: "Boo, yes ... and Beerus a well ..." (hinting the Anime scene where Freeza and the others were watching)
Sorbet: "My lord?"
Freeza: "Tell me: Has Son Goku also defeated Beerus the Destroyer?"
Sorbet: "N-no, my lord."
Freeza: "Hm, I figured."

=> flashback of when Freeza met Beerus and was not polite to just get owned by Beerus
- Flashback over, Freeza tells them he wants to get ready for his revenge as soon as possible, especially as he acknowledges Goku as the skilled warrior he is
- Tagoma asks if it is not just wiser for Freeza to do the other crap, Freeza telekinetically destroys the class front of the cockpit, soldiers are lost in space, Tagoma gets force gripped by Freeza to be tormented, like he could throw him out, far away, anytime - he says his thirst for vengeance has top priority, Goku will suffer for the embarassment Freeza had to feel because of him; then he brings back Tagoma
- He says they are gonna start immediately, maniacally laughing while the camera zooms out of the cockpit window, away from Freeza (and in case it would be the move here "Dragon Ball Super (yes, not Z) - Fukkatsu no F" would appear)

- We see the daily life of the others; Pan, Gohan, Videl and Piccolo as well as Mr. Satan
- We see Goku following Vegeta to train with Whis
- Whis points out how Goku and Vegeta's characteristics can be major weaknesses for them, Goku thinks he cannot be that bad considering he had learned those lessons of making use of all your senses from other masters before but Whis says, while that is true, in the moment of absolute domination Saiyajin like Goku and Vegeta get to confident; thgey think back of moment like when Goku fought Freeza, Vegeta let Cell absorb 18 and Gohan being to cocky to just kill Cell and admit that sometimes their Saiyajin pride might cause some trouble

- 3 months have passed -
- Tagoma lies totally KO on the ground, Freeza is absolutely pissed that he did not get as strong as he wanted fast enough, after all he is the supreme being of the universe, above and worth more than everyone
- he decides to return to where he originally came from; the scientists of his home planet explain him more about his genetic mutation
- Freeza asks if they can force that mutation to continue, they say yes but it is not wise to do it as quickly as he wants as unexpected things can happen and his body might also not respond well to it; he kills a few of them and forces them to begin
- 1 month later Freeza's spaceship arrives on Earth -
- they gather, Freeza comes out and asks for Goku, he then commands his soldiers to attack
- Yamcha, Tenshinhan, Kuririn, Roshi, Piccolo, Gohan and Jaco fight Freeza's army
- Freeza gets really pissed seeing Gohan as Super Saiyajin, he asks if he is Goku's son, Gohan says yes
=> Freeza thinks it would be a really nice present for Goku to have a look at Gohan's lifeless body, especially well prepared in good old Freeza manner
- Piccolo sacrifices himself, making Gohan cry, thinking about how so often just because of him things get messed up; Piccolo died against Nappa, Goku died against Cell, because of his arrogance Boo was not just outright defeated, et cetera
- Freeza stands before him in his most supressed form, saying that Gohan is just as life-loving as his father and that it disgusts him
- Gohan is having an outburst; he turns Ultimate and attacks Freeza; Freeza is surprised to see that someone holds his own against him, especially as Gohan does not seem to fight as a Super Saiyajin - but even after a few good hits from Gohan, Freeza ultimately defeats him
- he wants to him the death blow but then Goku and Vegeta come
- trash talk
- Goku and Final Form Freeza fight
- Vegeta mocks Freeza
Goku turns Blueper Saiyajin, Freeza turns Golden Boy
- They fight
- Goku defeats Freeza, pointing out that he is getting weaker; Freeza remembers that his mutation was said to probably have some unknown effects
- Sorbet attacks Goku, Goku just looks into Sorbet's direction saying "Come on. As if that would actually do anything to me.", the blast just being shaken off, while at the same time Freeza made a quick movement and Goku looks down just a second later to see Freeza smiling, his hand in Goku's hand
=> Goku collapses et cetera, Freeza makes a fool out of him, etc
- Goku reverting to his confident character, laughs at Freeza, saying he always was that filthy weasel, cowardly begging Goku for energy just to attack him one moment later and now here also relying on dirty tricks, instead of just learning his lesson and leaving
- Freeza is pissed but says considering he is talking to an already dead man he is gonna look over it, also he thinks as he is the one standing out as the winner every tactic might be fine
- he flies up into the sky, lifting his finger, charging an orange chi ball
Freeza: "Do you know what that is, Goku?"
Goku: "...!"
Freeza: "This was the demise of your home planet Vegeta. And now it is going to be the end of your pathetic little Earth as well."
*shot of a pissed Vegeta is shown*
- Freeza throws his Supernova ball, Vegeta protects Goku and Earth by neutralizing the sphere
- Vegeta says Whis was right, Goku gets healed, Vegeta switches in
- Freeza gets really angry now after he sees Vegeta wants to fight him, Vegeta says it is long overdue
- Vegeta turns into a Blueper Saiyajin and destroys Freeza in battle; before he can kill him though:
Vegeta: "Don't even think of coming back to life ever again."
Freeza: *smiling* "N-n-n-n ... You must be confused, Vegeta. By fighting me, it is you all facing death."
*Freeza destroys Earth*
- The remaining heroes are totally down from what happened
- Bulma slaps Goku, crying that his selfish side once more brought them unneccessary consequences; with Vegeta and Trunks' death she would never forgive him
- They ask if they cannot just call Polunga to call back Earth and the dead ones
=> Whis says that it is already too late for that: While they were talking, Freeza happily celebrated his victory => you see him smiling like never before, roaming the universe, randomly destroying planets now that he is the alpha of the universe, unfortunately Namek was also a part of that
- Goku regrets what happened, Whis tells he can give him another chance
- Goku uses it
- Illogical Time Rewind
- Goku teleports right behind Freeza while he is kneeling before Vegeta
Freeza: "Huh?!"
Vegeta: "Kakarott, what are you do- ..."
Goku: "If being a sneaky weasel like you is the only way to get rid of you, fine by me."
Freeza: "What?!"
*Goku grabs Freeza's tail and throws him up into the sky*
Goku: "You've had your chance, Freeza! More than once!"

beginning of super

1. Gohan and the kids continue their training. The kids can successfully go SSJ2, and gohan retains his chou powerup. The kids train 5 days in the ROSAT (dende fixed the room) so their ages at the beginning of super physically is 13 for trunks and 12 for goten

2. The human continue to train, Tien ends up having a kid with 3 eyes from launch with a defective personality. The kid is 5 years old at the beginning of super.

3. Piccolo takes bulma's spaceship to new namek where he's been reconnecting with his people the last 5 years and learns all of nameks secrets

4.goku and vegeta continue training. During one of their training sessions goku goes ssj3 in their beam struggles and kills vegeta by accident. Vegeta goes to king kaiou's planet where he learns and masters kaioken, and also obtains SSJ3. They wish vegeta back at the start of super

Beerus Arc

1. Beerus fights goku on kaiou's planet and beats him as easily as he does in the manga.

2. Beerus goes to the ship and slaps bulma, and enrages ssj3 vegeta who beats up beerus a little more this time.

3. goku heads back to the ship, and is clueless on ssj god. Before summuning the dragon, goku and vegeta become ssj3 gogeta and they're approx 25% of beerus true power. He commends them but still wants his ssj god

4. Goku teleports to kaioshin planet and uses the potrarra earings and becomes ssj3 vegetto. SSJ3 Vegetto is 28% of beerus and he get's bored and tells them they have 1 more shot before he destroys the planet. They summon shenron, and find out about ssj god.

5. Goku becomes ssj god and is only 40% of beerus but he's happy about the fight and tells goku and vegeta to train harder as he wants a rematch in the future.

Regarding the retellings if the U6 was written and ready to go:
Keep the way the first couple of episodes were (minus all the Beerus stuff) basically up until the point BoG starts then splice in the movie there. Same for Resurrection "F" after all the set up is done, splice in the movie afterwards.

If they were not ready to go:
BoG was retelling was fine all things considered, so I would keep at it although maybe cut it a few episodes short.
Resurrection "F" retelling was a fine mess, I would have kept everything up until Freeza is wished back, then maybe spend a few episodes with Freeza and him training and recruiting soldiers, here Sorbet tells and shows Freeza about his amazing laser hence Freeza see's it as a back up plan. Then I would scrap the Ginyu thing, and after the Freeza soldier fight, Tagoma and Shishami and Sorbet would fight some of the Z warriors and we'd have a one on one battle, but before Sorbet could fight Goku and Vegeta turn up hence can stay around and laser away later, oh and cut the pointless Gotenks and Piccolo dying crap too. From the Goku vs Freeza part happens like the movie.

U6 arc I would honestly would have scraped the Frost BS and writing thing so Buu can fight, then before the climax of the battle a big bad comes causes mayhem then disappears leaving Beerus and Champa on edge (basically subbing this in instead of the Omni king stuff).

6. gohan fights king kold, piccolo is back and fights chilled. trunks fights fridge, goten fights, colder, the rest of the z fighters fight the other 2 as frieza waits for goku to come back.
7. they defeat everyone except cold and cooler who have gohan and namek legend piccolo on the ropes.
8. As they go in for the kill goku and vegeta appear and stop it.
9. They fight and are defeated by goku and vegeta.
10. Frieza uses arcosain fusion (what abo and cabo did) to merge with his father and brother.
11. they beat the piss outta goku and vegeta who are now ssj blues
12. goku and vegeta fuse and form gogeta, but they still get pissed on
13. they fuse with gohan and form hangeta and they're even with the arcosains. This fight can be felt in all 11 other universes which raises the attention of the omni king but he takes no action yet.
14. the fight goes into space and each clash results in a universe being destroyed.
15. all universes are destroyed and before the last blow is dealt omni king stops both fighters knocks them out , defuses them and restores the universe.
16. He tells them this type of merger is no longer allowed and tells them to settle their quarrel in a tournament which will take place in the future

You know that fantastic Super Cut of Resurrection F that Ajay put together? Yeah, spilt and edit that cut into episodes and that is how the Ressrection F retelling would have, and should have, panned out for me. It may have turned out to be only roughly 6 episodes long, but it would have been far more cohesive and way less of a slog to get though than the absolute shite that Super put together for that movie's retelling.

Vegeta's unexplained ascension to blue form is something I KNOW you would change in the ROF Arc. I mean it is somewhat explained, but it was sooo lazy. I have the same belief.

Oh yeah, I would definitely had Vegeta go through the ritual and become a Super Saiyan God before he took off with Whis to train with him. Or alternatively, I would have edited the line where Goku mentions that Super Saiyan Blue was a result of “a Saiyan who’s a Super Saiyan with the power of Super Saiyan God”, and then changed it to, “a Saiyan who’s a Super Saiyan with the power of Godly Ki”. Then Vegeta skipping the Super Saiyan God to become a Super Saiyan Blue will reek of much less bullshit. But I'd personally much prefer it if Vegeta just does the ritual, so that the Super Saiyan God transformation doesn't get cheapened by the fact you can train to become that strong.

We keep he's a sole prodigy mutant, but he could never access it on his own to completely trivialize the series. Freeza listens as he fears Beerus, and this guy is related to Beerus. They offer to help aid in his revenge, if he distracts Beerus. Champa and Vados are aware of what Beerus has been doing, but need him distracted so they can get the Super Dragon Balls. The training lasts 3 years, and more if we include the ROSAT in the staff thing.

-Goku and Vegeta continue training to tap into Super Saiyan God. There is no Super Saiyan Blue as that was a pointless additional transformation. They have gotten a lot stronger now to the point Goku's SSJ3 is greater than Gohan's Ultimate state.

-We have the mook rush, but this time 18 joins in the fight, and protects Krillin from Shisami. They get a family moment.

-Piccolo and Tagoma fight and Tagoma has been mutated in a similar fashion Freeza to explain his increase. They have a close fight til Piccolo wins.

-No fucking Ginyu. He was terrible and a waste.

-Goten and Trunks piss off Freeza by being Super Saiyans, and looking like the two people he hates most. Gohan protects them.

-Gohan and Freeza fight, with 1st form Freeza and SSJ Gohan being close. As Gohan goes SSJ2, Freeza uses his second form to combat Gohan. Eventually Freeza goes Final Form and beats the hell out of Ultimate Gohan. Freeza comments on Gohan being more of a brute despite appearing to be more intelligent, as his fighting style is rusty, and relies more on overpowering rather than using more skill.

-As Freeza is about to kill Gohan, Piccolo takes the blow and dies (This leads to both Piccolo and Gohan's growth later). Gohan attacks Freeza in a fury, but doesn't get any rage boost as those are gone now. Gohan fails as he can't count on any more hidden power to help turn the tide. As Gohan is about to die, Goku comes to save him.

-SSJ3 Goku and Freeza fight, and while it looks close, Freeza was playing with Goku and starts crushing him.

-Goku breathes in and shows he's mastered SSJ God, by turning into SSJ God. Freeza turns into a better designed Ultimate form. Which looks like this (Can be golden I guess. Ignore the SSJB design as I have no SSJB in this version)

-The two of them fight, and Freeza has the advantage. He beats Goku, but has somewhat worn down. He has a closer fight with Vegeta who reveals he also can use SSJ God now. Seeing how he can feasibly lose to Vegeta after being worn down, he blows up the earth.

-Time turns back with the same scenario, but this time Goku forcibly teams up with Vegeta. As Freeza is about to blow up the earth, Goku stops the blast. Together Goku and Vegeta beat Freeza to stop the risk of the earth blowing up.

-They learn that sometimes it's best to fall back on team work when they need to, rather than LOL FUCK LESSONS!

-Champa and Vados got 6 of the 7 Dragon Balls, but are discovered by Beerus at some point as Freeza didn't keep his attention long enough. Sets up the tournament.

-Piccolo is wished back, but goes off on his own as he was embarrassed of being such fodder. He goes to search for the Namekian book of legends, and learn from it.

-Gohan has the same lovely moment with his family, but learns that he can't protect them no more. Once on summer vacation, he asks to train with his dad to at least get closer to his level. He of course returns to his career after the two month's.

There is no name for Freeza's race. Frost demon/arcosisan are taken from non canon/fanfic sources like DB Multiverse and video games. Toriyama hasn't written a name for Freeza's race

What I would have done to improve DBS is to skip both the BOG and ROF arcs since they are just pointless re-tellings of previous movies the majority of the fanbase has already saw before. It also served as one of the main reasons why DBS is hated that much by several fans.

As for the U6 arc, I would make the fights longer and the U6 fighters more of a powerful threat. The battles feel extremely rushed and short to the point where the tournament suddenly becomes a bore to watch. What also amplifies that defect is that the characters (with the exception of Hit) that the main fighters are facing were pretty much fodders. They were not threatening at the slightest and Goku or Vegeta could've wiped out the majority of the enemy team, thus rendering the arc almost pointless to watch and diminishing the tension.

Character utilization is also a main problem of the U6 arc and something I would also improve upon. The arc only focuses on both Goku and Vegeta wiping out the entire team. The fact that the writers were hyping up Fat Boo and Piccolo to play a prominent role by drawing them on the posters just goes to show how much of a dick Toei is.

The tournament was setup as a match between teams of 5, and that's what they showed off with the first key visual. How the events unfolded once the story was underway was meant to be a surprise, like with any narrative product.

It was a bad surprise though. The majority of people would have liked events to be the complete opposite to what happened. Such as:

Buu passing the test
Frost actually being good
Piccolo not getting cheated out of a win and fighting Magetta
Goku not getting reinstated into the tournament
Monaka not being weak
Universe 6 winning as they should have
The last Super Dragon Ball not being the nameless planet
