Recently MetalJesusRocks did a video on his latest find, a working prototype for the US version of the Nintendo 64 DD. One thing that got my attention (besides how awesome and interesting of a find this is) was the ten minute mark. He lists a bunch of planned games for the 64DD and one of the games listed is "DBZ Block Butoden". Has anyone ever heard any info on this? And does anyone have any speculation? Personally I think this would have been really cool, especially if they had used 2D sprites.

There was going to be a DBZ game for the N64 DD?

So he cites Nintendo Power as his source. Is there anyone on this forum with a stack of old issues who can confirm this?
The title "Block Butouden" might suggest that it's some tetris clone à la Pokemon Puzzle League.

What year would it be in? I might buy that year's NP and check. My collection gets spotty past the Super NES years, and I'd love to reread the 64DD issues.

There is an entry in the N64 DD games list for it, but it's not been cited and the listed publisher isn't Bandai. The company attached, SETA Corporation, largely does puzzle titles. A quick Japanese Google search brings up nothing.
"I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.
