Could you elaborate on that? I'd like to know because I for one thought the show was bloody fantastic.

That's just not fair the only series i've been watching besides Super are one punch man, one piece, attack on titan (the first season, i was really hoping to see season 2 this year) and Wakfu (which is inspired by anime but it's not anime)

I'll probably update this once i watch some of those series but.....

One Punch Man: 7/10
Great animation, funny but i got bored in some episodes until Boros appeared

One Piece: 8/10
This year i tried to catch up with one piece and what i've seen so far from the newest episodes is pretty good in my opinion.

If i compare Super with that mini filler arc.........
4/10 and i'm being generous, it's just that i was bored watching that filler, even if i liked something, i really wanted to have more slice of life episodes.

Super is a 6/6.5 overall, if RoF never existed i would probably give a 7 to the series or maybe more, i don't know (i would probably ignore the mini filler arc thought)
I really miss ma boy, Black :(

Boku no Hero Academia: 8.5/10 solid animation, frenetic action sequences (not on the same level as OPM but still good), fun characters and good adaptation of the first 20 manga chapters of the manga.
Boku Dake ga Inai Machi: 8/10 solid animation & direction, the anime needed 2 or 3 more episodes to properly cover everything from the manga.
Dragon Ball Super: 7/10 mostly due to the first 2 arcs ranging from average to mediocrate, the Champa Arc being for the most part OK, the Future Trunks Arc has a strong beginning and is having a consistent above-average/good quality so far.

That´s all the 2016 animes that I´m watching/have seen, currently I´m mostly watching already broadcasted animes, recently finished Fate/Zero (8.75/10) and began Unlimited Blade Work (TV).

Dragon Ball was always a kid series and fans should stop being in denial.

There tons of better anime out there, give them a try. One of the main reason people bash super is because how mediocre it is compared to most contemporary anime which are popular
Toyotarō: … I get the feeling I’ve just heard something amazing (laughs). Lord Beerus and Whis turn up in Dragon Ball Super, and have become an unsurpassable wall for Goku and the gang. What do the two of them mean to you?

Toriyama: Well… First off, right now I don’t have any plans for Goku and Vegeta to surpass Beerus and Whis.

Oh I watch my fair share of anime but haven't had much time this year really underestimated how tough final year at university would be. Super airs at literally the perfect time for me (1am) so I always catch it, though as final year is winding up I've checked out a few more recent shows such as SERVAMP and Puzzle & Dragons. I generally feel it's hard to compare anime when there are different genres, intended foe different audiences, made by different studios, have different amount of episodes etc. Like I cannot compare something like last year's GANGSTA or Death Parade to Super but something like Yokai Watch sure (which I think is just as good as Super maybe a bit less at 7)

Ah I see, I thought you don't watch anime in general. Well this thread isn't about comparing anime of different genre, rather how much you enjoyed. For example, I rate Steins Gate 10/10, but Super only 5.5 (because of RoF and copy vegeta arc). Both Steins Gate and Super are different genre but I can compare how much I enjoyed them

Winter 2016

Boku Dake ga Inai Machi: Loved the show, though it lost a bit by excluding the teacher's backstory that was in the manga. I probably enjoyed the 1988 segments the best, though 2003 was great too. Poor Yuuki. 8/10
Kono Subarashii: A fun little comedy. Kazuma's such an ass. I'm glad there's a season two coming Winter 2017. 7/10
Luck & Logic: Nice and colorful cast of characters. I really liked the last few episodes after (spoilers) caves in to his inferiority complex and betrays the group. 6/10
Myriad Colors Phantom World: Very spirited, imaginative show. The only KyoAni show I'm indifferent to is probably Free, otherwise I'm rather fond of all of them; Hyouka in particular is one of my favorite anime. 6/10
Nurse Witch Komugi-chan R: Just simple fun. Blue-haired girl was cute. 6/10
Shoujo-tachi wa Kouya wo Mezasu: I wanted to enjoy it, and it's not a bad series at all, but overall I just found it kind of dull. Nice opening and ending theme though. 5/10

Spring 2016

Flying Witch: A comfy little show that helped me to relax during some very stressful times. 7/10
Gakusen Toshi Asterisk: Nice action series with a good sense of intrigue. Julis is a good example of a defrosting tsundere who goes dere and stays dere. 7/10
Mayoiga: I enjoyed the show unironically unlike most people, and the whole premise of focusing on 30 characters is a really cool, unique one. The Nanaki experience was one I'm sure I'll always remember. 7/10
Netoge: Ako's one of the hottest anime girls in memory, so that counts for something. There were some fun episodes and moments, it was an okay show. 6/10
Tamayura Movie 4: The ultimate healing series, and one of the anime I find most synonymous with the 2010s since it began in 2010 and has had new material released each year. 8/10

Summer 2016

Ange Vierge: It's okay so far. Reminds me of a Neptunia/KanColle hybrid. Saya's inferiority complex and jealousy makes her an interesting protagonist. 6/10
Fate kaleid liner Prisma Illya 3rei: Off to a strong start. I like the snowy setting, things get intense right from the start, and the Ainsworths make nice, menacing villains. 7/10
Love Live Sunshine: I love the Love Live series. It's great to finally see these characters animated after seeing them in still image form for over a year. Episode 5 should be great, properly introducing Yohane. 8/10
Rewrite: I loved the Visual Novel, which I read July-August 2014, but I'm not sure what to think of the anime thus far. I'm more or less enjoying, but it's certainly a disorganized hodgepodge of routes. I kind of wish this was still the '80s and Rewrite had been given a 50+ episode count to properly adapt it. 6/10, I guess.

For Fall 2016, I'm planning to watch:

Flip Flappers (Looks very fun, I'm excited for it)
Hibike Euphonium Season 2 (I really liked the original)
Idol Memories (It looks okay, is worth watching)
Lostorage Incited WIXOSS (I loved the two WIXOSS seasons from 2014 and never would have expected a third season to come about)
Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku (Seems rather Madoka, my interest is piqued)
Watashi ga Moete Dou Sunda (Main girl is hot and it looks fun)

BNHA: 7.5, it had good animation for the most part, and great OST that made the show enjoyable, Dekus voice though was annoying. And Tsuyu voice was meh, not really what expected, oh and the pacing was as bad as DBZ... Most memorable moment was PLUS ULTRA, that was glorious.

JoJo: 8.5, It has been a great show so far and it will get even better with the introduction of Kira!.

Kabenari: 5.0, probably the biggest letdown of the year, started out great but turned garbage around the time Biba(IMO worst villain of the year) got introduced.

Gintama: 8.0, Shogun Assasination and Farewell Shinsengumi Arc carried the show.

Berserk: CLANG, crappy CGI.

AssClass: 8.0, it was really good despite some arcs being skipped or rushed, but it had a great, emotional ending.

Sailor Moon Crystal Season 3: 8.0, it was MILES, MILES MILES better than Season 1 and 2, really consistant animation, the Senshins finally got to showcase their personality, and we got the return of Pluto as well as introducing Haruka, Michiru and Hotaru. I would say I liked how they handled Saturns introduction and the way she destroyed Pharaoh 9.

DBS: 7.5, It would say DBS is gonna end up as the most underrated show of the year, last year has really damaged the shows reputation and show was bad. This year it has rebounded and it has been really solid. The introduction of Hit completely saved the U6 tournament, everyone expected him to job to Goku and he was always stronger than him, and giving the win on Monaca showed he was the coolest guy in the show. The Mirai Trunks arc has been great so far, Black with a perfect introduction and even has probably the best OST in DBS...

If I would rank Super in 2016, I would give it a 7.5/10. I felt like the show has improve a lot since 2015 and I hope 2017 will be just as good, if not better. The other anime I've watched and competed in 2016 from A-Z (Rating them from 1 - 10) compare to Super

I loved DIU because of Kira. One of the best written anime villains i have seen. Josuke, Koichi and Okuyasu were great too

I kinda think that Zamasu shoulda been nominated for villain of the year too. I mean he's a shit ton better than Biba. Kira deserves it though. Best Jojo villain since Dio.

Now, that I've watched quite a few cartoons and am quite aware of all the things that makes an anime good I've a much better informed opinion than what I had before. 2016, while not as great as 2015 was still a good year for the anime industry.

Boku no Hero academia : 7.5/10 - Premise was strong. Characters were fleshed out and Hayashi Yuuki's music was stellar. Umakoshi character designs were appealing as always and even though the production got messy in the end, it still got good visuals for the most part. Episode#12 was a highlight.

Mob Psycho 100 : 10/10 - Anime of the season. Kameda's gorgeous designs, best talents on-board both mix of young and veteran animators. Tachikawa Yuzuru proves what a great director he is again after Death Parade. A visual spectacle all 12 episodes. No fucks given. Reigen is a superb character. It even featured paint-on-glass animation which is incredibly difficult done by Satou Miyo and needless to say it was mind-blowing. One of the best anime I've ever seen.

Hibike! Euphonium 2 : 9.5/10 - A KyoAni show and it was for the most part perfect. The incredible amount of polish in the designs KyoAni is known for is there, spectacular post-processing, highly accurate depiction of the musical instruments which caught everyone's eye. Engaging characters and everyone involved delivered and lived up to the high bar that KyoAni shows have set. Kigami Yoshiji's episode #5 was the best thing ever.

Flip Flappers : 7.5/10 - Little mixed on this, but overall it was still a good project. Oshiyama Kiyotaka's directorial outing and it turned out well for the most part. It was an extremely colorful show that makes good use of its composition team and when needed it got great animation. The characters bored me and that's the only issue I have. The ED directed, boarded and animated by Oshiyama was the highlight. I look forward to more Oshiyama cause he is a great creator.

Kiznaiver : 7/10 - Still haven't completed it, but it is a smart series that makes effective use of direction and storyboarding. Even though the plot is not the best thing ever, the interactions are very good and entertaining. Kobayashi Hiroshi is another name to look forward to cause his boards are wonderful.

Sun and Moon : 8/10 - Lovely stuff. Lovely animation-friendly designs. Iwane Masa'aki continues to be the hero that made Pocket Monsters a great franchise. The digital animation medium's strength is perfectly being exploited to create an interesting anime. It has been successful so far. Satoshi as a character is at his best since Diamond and Pearl, so bonus points for that. The Pocket Monsters franchise continues to reach new heights.

Naruto Shippuuden : 8/10 - It is not a 2016 show. I know that, so I'm only talking about the events that happened in 2016. A lackluster start to the year with the continued filler Tsukuyomi stuff which nobody cared about. But, it picked up fast with the wonderful Itachi novel adaptation. It was fairly well executed. The Kaguya nonsense was surprisingly not completely boring unlike the manga, thanks to the dedicated anime staff. It wrapped up decently. The highlight of course that made it a great year was the Naruto Sasuke battle. Yamashita Hiroyuki's double episode gave everything the fight demanded. Great visuals, great direction also great acting and music. It was followed by Tsuru Toshiyuki and Date Hayato episodes that delivered the emotional impact and satisfaction it needed. Not to forget, Kobayashi Osamu showed himself and while only for fillers his presence was undeniably strong.

Re: Zero : 8.5/10 - The characters, the premise, visuals(for the most part), acting, layouts and direction were nice. Sessha Gorou put in every bit of experience he learned from his KyoAni days to his Naruto days and the other places he went and combined it and produced a high quality and stylishly directed anime.

Keijo!!!! : 7/10 - Fun show. It pissed off a lot of people, so I like it even more. It's one of the most honest anime out there and does what it does brilliantly. The battles were hilarious, so were the dialogues and the concept was enjoyable. Visually, it was not that great, but still good nonetheless.

Tiger Mask W : 7/10 - Still ongoing, but has already impressed me. The people who say Toei can't make good cartoons, watch this show. It's not Kyousougiga or PreCure, but it is currently Toei's best without question. I like the characters, Takanashi Yasuharu's music is good and some of Toei's good staff deliver good stuff at times. Watanabe and Kamatani's episode #4 in particular was superb. Watanabe Koudai is already proving to be one of the biggest stars of Toei Animation.

Sousei no Onmyouji : 4/10 - Wonderful openings. OP2 by Yamashita Shingo is just out of this world and Han Megumi as Benio is awesome, but that's about it. It has a horrible premise, horrible characters overall and terrible visuals and direction. It suffers from a lot of outsourcing.

Boku Dake ga Inai Machi : 8/10 - Great show. Ito Tomohiko's wonderful work. The atmosphere was amazing throughout. Nice visuals too for the most part, but storyboard and direction was it's strength always. The ED which was a solo job by Ishihama Masashi was one of the most fantastic EDs filled with creativity. The characters were also interesting.

I'm currently watching Jojo's and is already far more entertaining than Super ever was, but I can't rate it cause I've just started.

I would rate Super 5/10. The Gokuu Black arc was very entertaining and it improved when compared to last year, but it still fails in all departments for the most part and can't be called a good anime overall. At least not in my opinion.

Only one I've watched on that list is JoJo's; Part 4 is an overrated part imo, so I think I'd score it the same: 7.5/10. Super to me is below a 5.
Tim Duncan is dope and forever.

Favorites of Fall 2016:
Flip Flappers: 10/10 - My dark horse of this season, beautiful animation, cool fighting scenes, i loved first half with was very surreal (Green rabbit becoming Schwarzenegger like humanoid) as well as last part, where everything has been explained
Hibike! Euphonium Season 2: 9/10 - Much more drama heavy season than previous one, still, it was very interesting to watch, Tomoyo Kurosawa acting in episode 10 is wonderful.
Keijo! - 9/10 - Excellent shounen anime, with hilarious techniques and likeable characters, too bad Japan hates Keijo! So there is small chance for S2
Magical Girl Raising Project: 9/10 - Very brutal magical girl anime, Battle Royale mixed with Danganronpa, deaths were really sad and brutal, especially Sister Nana :(

Dragon Ball Super: : 6/10: While some episodes were really good, especially Future Trunks Saga, i still want Chi-Chi to be killed off, she sucks any enjoyment when she appears.

Eh, it's good but my favorite Jojo parts are Battle Tendency and Steel Ball Run. The main reason I think to like part 4 so much is honestly Kira. He steals the show, just like Dio before him.

WHAT?! HOW COULD THEY? Keijo is love, Keijo is life.
Magical Girl Raising Project: 9/10 - Very brutal magical girl anime, Battle Royale mixed with Danganronpa, deaths were really sad and brutal
I haven't seen much in terms of this one besides some promotional pictures and stuff. Strange, it looks all cutesy and stuff from those. ...Wait, is this a Madoka Magica rip-off? XD

I agree. Part 7 is the best part imo, and Kira makes Part 4 for me, well, most of it lol.
Tim Duncan is dope and forever.
