It was GojiitaAF, yes, and when it was first mentioned in this thread it was quickly mentioned that he's most likely just guessing. I also think we won't get anything until August (aka next week).

Unless I'm missing something, there doesn't seem to be any mention of hiring mercenaries or outright mentions of their strength.

The closest I'm seeing is this:

Strength-wise Earth’s army overwhelmingly has the upper hand, and the enemy force’s numbers steadily drop. However, there are still some strong enemies. The mercenaries are particularly troublesome. Gohan is strongest. And Piccolo’s strong too. Kuririn, Tenshinhan, Kame-sennin, and even Jaco all play a big role.

Regarding Shisami, there's nothing about him being the strongest merc in the universe, but rather that he's the best in Freeza's army:

Piccolo is having a hard time against Shisami, the best warrior in Freeza’s army.

There's no subplot about recruiting anyone. Was this mentioned elsewhere or something?

The film plays out pretty much as detailed in the script, honestly.

Like I said, there was no actual scripted scene, but I remembered the description of the battle mentioning that the mercenaries were hired to make up for the weakened forces. Now that I look at the text again though, that specific line isn't even there, they're just a random name drop in that sentence, which I guess I remembered due to the remark about them being troublesome.

What if Trunks snaps when he sees 18 and he goes beserk and tries to fight/kill her? Similar to how when Trunks first woke up in the present and saw Goku and thought he was Goku Black and tried to attack him before Bulma slapped him?

I wonder if Toriyama's original drafts for these arcs will ever be released? It would be an interesting read. With they way he said Toei expand it and turn into episodes (expected) but also make changes is interesting, I wonder specifically what changes they made/make?

Maybe when DBS ends, and a couple of years later, a guide will be released, with character designs, official power levels, behind the scenes and a lot of stuff.

I think we can tell based on the differences between the manga and anime.

Vegeta's fight with magetta ends with him winning and accidentally finding his weakness in both versions but the anime's was a serious fight while the manga's was a gag fight.

So Toriyama's draft was probably something like "Vegeta has a bit of trouble with magetta but wins by accidentally insulting him".

The fight with Hit might've been something like "Due to Goku being stronger than Vegeta he was able to put up a better fight but ultimately surrenders due to Hit not being able to use his full power"

Both versions had that but Goku and Vegeta's power was handled differently, In the anime Goku gets stronger with the Kaioken while in the manga Vegeta gets weaker due to him powering up to Blue twice in a row.

Maybe when DBS ends, and a couple of years later, a guide will be released, with character designs, official power levels, behind the scenes and a lot of stuff.

We'll probably get something way before it ends.

News about Affleck directing a Batman movie leaked out 2.5 years before it was announced so this is nothing.

The movie's story leaked out before Nolan even finished his trilogy in 2012 and before Affleck was even part of the DC movies.
