That shot was actually exactly what I was talking about, lol.Ajay wrote:At least during the fight, I feel like Ishikawa played a hand in that. Other than that, I think it was fairly similar to the styles show in 45. I feel like having someone like Ishikawa around to help instead of Kitano is probably a plus!
We definitely didn't get any of these shots, at least...![]()

Higashide is pretty unreal. I really hope he gets promoted to a supervisor role later down the line. I'd definitely enjoy seeing him take on a Tate-like role where he focuses on his own episodes and gets to draw a lot for them.

Here in this shot:Ajay wrote:Not seeing any Tate there. Looked all like Shimanuki to me. Though considering Tate worked under Shimanuki for so long, they do share some traits.Hit!! wrote:I saw some Tate Naoki in the NEP.

It might not be Tate, but it kind of reminds me of how Vegeta looked in episode 38.

What happened to Shida? Is he working in one of these eps? Or just for the special.
Re: Super Animation Catalogue - [Updated with #52]
We dont know, but probably the special.
Re: Super Animation Catalogue - [Updated with #52]
Yeah, that's 100% Shimanuki. Look at the wide face and teardrop nose.ArchedThunder wrote:That looks like Shimanuki to me.
Tate doesn't draw as mechanically as that, and he consistently gives Vegeta incredibly thick eyebrows.

Only if it was in a fast moving action scene, for something like that scene in the NEP Tate would probably look like this.Sodhi wrote:Tate would be somthing like this

I don't want to be negative but I really can't see the animation or art improving for Super anytime soon to the caliber I want it to be.

The Goku/Zamasu was pretty poor. There was distinct lack of actual... animation. There was really no movement in the fight. Just a lot of shaky cam and animation stills. Other than that, the animation for the episode as a whole was serviceable.

Today's animation with the Goku/Zamasu battle definitely stunk it up to the heavens.
Re: Super Animation Catalogue - [Updated with #52]
Look how fucking stiff this looks , really tired of seeing 1 or 2 good fights once a while now.

Zamasu vs. Goku was maybe my least favorite battle in Super so far. Even worse than Goku vs. Botamo.

I don't think it was anywhere near as bad as the Botamo fight.JustSomeFella wrote:Zamasu vs. Goku was maybe my least favorite battle in Super so far. Even worse than Goku vs. Botamo.
Re: Super Animation Catalogue - [Updated with #52]
I agree with him. The zamasu fight was well choreographed but man was the animation bad. It was basically stills. Botomo was still interesting to watch. I liked the concept of Goku having to run to burn off the food and I really liked the ending.ArchedThunder wrote:I don't think it was anywhere near as bad as the Botamo fight.JustSomeFella wrote:Zamasu vs. Goku was maybe my least favorite battle in Super so far. Disclaimer: I might get into a disagreement with you. Sometimes I might even get feisty about it. I'll never harbor negative feelings because of it though. I hope you feel the same way!Jinzoningen MULE wrote: Maybe I should start making it a point not to comment when I'm not sure of something. Too many people know what they're talking about around here.
I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.
Re: Super Animation Catalogue - [Updated with #52]
Not even close. Es stiff and lack of animation as it was, Goku vs Zamasu is worlds above the Botamo fight.JustSomeFella wrote:Zamasu vs. Goku was maybe my least favorite battle in Super so far. Even worse than Goku vs. Botamo.
Re: Super Animation Catalogue - [Updated with #52]
Disagree, the Zamasu fight lacked animation but the art was ok and at least the little movement it had was somewhat fluid. The Botamo fight had nothing interesting at all, it was a badly drawn Goku runnning away from a badly drawn winnie the pooh looking guy, Then Goku's pallet on front of motamo moving left and right to give us the illusion that he was punching Botamo's stomach and a weird ass cheap wave effect going on in Botamo's belly when Goku was punching him. It was cringy and awkward af!!kinisking wrote:I agree with him. The zamasu fight was well choreographed but man was the animation bad. It was basically stills. Botomo was still interesting to watch. The Goku vs Zamasu fight looked cool, it just completely lacked animation, thats all.
