Is Curious George in Japan the same thing as it is in the U.S.?

Yep, it refers the same monkey character familiar to Western audiences (presumably in a Japanese dubbed version). It must be pretty popular children's programming over there, since it seems to pop into the top 10 every now and then (especially in weeks like these when several of the top rated shows didn't air).

You stopped watching Shippuden but watching Super? Skip the fillers, Naruto is 100x better than DBS in quality
Toyotarō: … I get the feeling I’ve just heard something amazing (laughs). Lord Beerus and Whis turn up in Dragon Ball Super, and have become an unsurpassable wall for Goku and the gang. What do the two of them mean to you?

Toriyama: Well… First off, right now I don’t have any plans for Goku and Vegeta to surpass Beerus and Whis.

I wonder about that. I'm watching DBS and I also stopped watching Shippuden, but in my case it was in the war arc.
Everything just becomes a mess. And the new generation with Boruto stuff made me realize it's not my thing anymore.
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

No. I love Dragon Ball and I enjoy Super. Shippuden was very, very slow at one period (I used to time it for SD project so I know what I'm talking about). The thing is, I'm an adult of 33 year who has a daugther turning 3 years old soon, plus I love to see people, so I'm not sure it's worth my time. Anyway, back to topic please.

Why are you watching shonen anime then? Try seinen like Berserk, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Gantz or Vagabond. These are more appropriate for you

If people stopped watching Naruto but keep watching Super then I don't think Naruto is better, besides, if you watch the series without filler, you get to watch only like... 10 or 12 episodes? (joke lol)

There is something really stuck up about this comment. What business of yours what he choses to watched? I am going on 31 and It watch Toonami which have both Shonen and Seinen with Jojo's Bizarre Adventure coming this fall.

Goku barely took a backseat in the Buu saga, at best he took a leisurely stroll round back while everyone else cried for him to come back.

"More appropriate"? Who are you to lecture me about what is appropriate for me? I've seen all those (or parts) ... And I love Dragon Ball, have since I was 5... I also like some shounen but really, I don't like fillers in anime. Anyyyyway, I tried to take the topic back but you derailed it now...

This new episode should have some good ratings after the break, also OP was a filler for the most part.

You can watch around 200 episodes of Shippuden without filler.

The ratings went up then but the position stays the same. Still no DVR information either for a while now.

Looks like Gohan's not the ratings killer we all thought. Even with the promise of a fight, this episode didn't do much better.

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

Perhaps the excitement from the start of the arc is starting to wear off? That's the only thing I can think of if the ratings are going back to Super's typical showing.

The Gohan episode still was really low. This arc is to slow with nothing happening and that is probably going to make the ratings lower.

Considering it was obvious that there wasn't going to be a fight while this episode had its fight advertised in the NEP, it did just fine in comparison

Not a bad rating at all. But considering what the title of the episode was, I was kinda expecting it to break the 7.0 barrier.
