I seriously think Black is Goten. I'm gonna try to avoid an argumento but Gotens belt was randomly changed to red for DBS. I think Trunks will be completely surprised when meeting Goten. I think the reason Blacks transformation is pink is because he's a half Saiyan and couldn't quite reach that red god form, maybe... plus where the hell is Goten??!

What do you mean where the hell is Goten? In our timeline he is with his mom and in Future Trunks timeline he was never born. I love Goten and if there was a way for hom to be Black I would like it but it's just not possible IMO.

Well, it is not impossible, maybe Chichi got pregnant before Goku dies, and that will mean that Future Goten was born a couple of months before than Present Goten.
We don't know if she has another son in the future because it wasn't confirmed, but what we do know is that Trunks never met him, or that seems to be the case.

It seems unlikely Goten would have survived in that case...even though we don't know what happened to Chi-Chi in FT timeline it's pretty safe to assume she died in the android attacks since we have never seen her anywhere. Anyway if Chi-Chi died it's likely Goten would too as a baby.

Even if we assume there is a Goten in that timeline at some point it just doesn't really fit in with what we see story wise for the character. I think I like Goten more than anyone I just don't have my hopes up.

Since Episode of Trunks (or whatever, I forgot the special name) is canon to DBS (at least the anime), then a future Goten probably doesn't exist since we see Chi-Chi alive in Episode of Trunks and there isn't any Goten there.

I think it would be really lame if after all this mystery and "This ki feels similar to this ki" and investigating the gods of other universe, it turns out to be Future Goten.

What significance would goten have to this besides "Its a twist because Goten looks like Goku." ?

It would just be one of the worst twists ever because there is nothing hinting at Goten whatsoever besides the spiky hair.

I wouldn't mind it being Goten (no I wouldn't, not at all) but I'm hoping they go for someone else. I don't really care who as long as: 1) it's someone we've seen or get introduced to in this arc, and 2) it's a twist. And please, no one say it's Omni-King.

I still think they're just keeping him for later. He'll have his time to shine.

I feel like we keep saying these things and they have yet to happen. At this point it seems better to expect nothing and be surprised when it actually does. Super has tossed aside too many characters for too long now even though the two movies did a decent job with most of them. It feels somewhat disconnected from the tournament on.

I just can't understand why they would add him in that opening picture if he isn't going to be relevant.

Do you expect the Pilaf gang to be relevant and they are in that picture as well.

I don't mean to offend anyone, but the Goten being Black theory has to be the dumbest theory the community has come up with in all of Dragon Ball history. I don't even have to explain why its so retarded.

You are right...Akira likes more the Goku from Dragonball childish but a badass in fighting...For me it is more interesting because the fighters think he is weak becuase he is to childish thats why i like it this way more than serious all the time

I don't know, I'm asking mainly because of that: he didn't like Z Goku, but could Super Goku be something close to Goku's personality in the manga? Or even worse than before? I wish he talk about that in future interviews, and then Toei staff could walk in the right line.

I would love to see Future Trunks reaction if he see Gotenks. It could give him a lot of ideas.
