Internationally though, they make their $$$ off the show itself through home releases, streaming & TV deals but most anime fans internationally are adults which isn't what this train wreck is aimed at so the chances of it doing well outside of Japan or at least in the west are slim to non.
You must be living on Namek or in other planet these days.
Super will do fine overseas, with a lot of kids joining the fandom and old fans come back for nostalgia. Some people not liking the show it won't make it flop.
People said that DB Kai, BOG and ROF Movie would flop overseas. None of them did it.
Maybe this is a shock for you, but most casual fans won't lose their shit over some animation/art problems, as long the show is entertaining, which it is.
It's not like people that like Super don't have standards, but they sit back and enjoy what they get.
People looking for off-model shots and stuff like that are minority out here.
At this point there are more people liking the show than hating it, and in that group of haters we still have people that don't accept the japanese cast, so when Super gets dubbed in their language and Goku gets his superman voice it will be miraculously better for them.
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.
