Gurdo + Jiisu = Guruusu
Rikum + Butta = Rikuuta
(someone plz come up with a better romanization)
The Saibaiman boss is Saibai King.

Regarding the custom character - they've shown that when you recruit a main character you also get their outfit for the custom hero, even stuff like Saibamen, but what about the generic/game original characters? Do they give their outfits too? They often seem to have color variations of the main cast's outfit, and the video hasn't shown the player's color choices changing the outfits one gets from the main cast.

Hmm. Using Kanzenshuu's spellings to preserve name puns...Sandubadear wrote:Gurdo + Jiisu = Guruusu

For Jheese x Gurd, I guess maybe Gurse?
You lose the extended "U" sound the fused name creates, but we didn't complain when basically the same thing happened to Cellza.
For Recoom x Butta, I guess maybe Recootta?
I'd almost be tempted to go with Recotta though, as a pun on ricotta cheese, but that's not really close to the Japanese spelling of it and there's no reason to cut out the extended vowel when it' is represented in the English name,

Rikuuta doesn't have the doubled T that Butta has (it extends the U instead), so it should be Recoota.TheDevilsCorpse wrote: For Recoom x Butta, I guess maybe Recootta?

Re: "Dragon Ball Fusions" Official Discussion Thread
バータ is romanized as bāta. So, it shouldn't have a double "T" at all...it's just something we do for the sake of the pun, correct?
Hence my choice in splicing. I just kept the double "T" for the sake of consistency with the original adaptation.

In my mind it was supposed to be "バッタ"
. Well, it doesn't really change much if it's "Recootta" or "Recoota".

Great design, not a fan of the top head being pink. Everything about the design looks great.KentalSSJ6 wrote:

So my question is, what do I need to do to get a Japanese 3DS and this game? lol

You'll need about 20,000 yen.dualist wrote:So my question is, what do I need to do to get a Japanese 3DS and this game? lol
Re: "Dragon Ball Fusions" Official Discussion Thread
Oooor you could get homebrew, which works on current version, and then use the RegionFree to play a cartridge version of the game that you own. The cartridge version of the game is 5700 yen.Nejishiki wrote:You'll need about 20,000 yen.dualist wrote:So my question is, what do I need to do to get a Japanese 3DS and this game? lol
Re: "Dragon Ball Fusions" Official Discussion Thread
I'll hold on a bit before attempting that. I do own a 3DS, but I rather support a translated version. If it never comes to be in appropriate time, then I'll just get the Japanese copy physically and do as you noted. I was mostly being a smart aleck with that response, ahaha.
Re: "Dragon Ball Fusions" Official Discussion Thread
Sounds like an eventual plan. Thanks! I don't currently own a 3DS, but was going to buy one just for this game. I was very surprised when learning it wouldn't get a global release. But I'll probably hold out for a while and see if anything changes.nobody231 wrote:Oooor you could get homebrew, which works on current version, and then use the RegionFree to play a cartridge version of the game that you own. I agree on waiting for a domestic release here in the states. I really don't want to fork out the extra cash for importing.

It would be nice if it came out in the States, but I highly doubt it.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:I agree on waiting for a domestic release here in the states. I really don't want to fork out the extra cash for importing.

I'm moderately optimistic, for reasons. But things can be wrong, so I remain cautious.
Re: "Dragon Ball Fusions" Official Discussion Thread
I don't know if anyone has noticed this yet, since I'm not watching ShonenGamez' playthrough, but there are beam struggles in this game! When an enemy uses a ki super on you, you can retaliate with your own super. The winner is determined by mashing the A button.

Just beat the game. Overall great experience and even after you beat the game you have a crap load of characters to unlock/side quests and barriers to break. Shame I can't fuse some characters with what I want in this game, but not that big of a deal.
Also Gorus (Goku+Beerus) really helped a lot during segments where I could have lost boss battles. Probably the strongest character in my roster currently.

That sounds great, it sounds like my experience with the game will be good then! Just wondering: Is there any point to the online modes?TheGameTagerZ wrote:Just beat the game.
