Yes they count towards the 1000 something cast. So really only about 1/10th of them matter.
Huh? Aren't you thinking about the npc x npc fusions? The actual custom character fusions don't seem to count

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=miLLE0v_1NY

See that video. It shows a custom female Saiyan x Goten Ex-Fusion, and the result is labeled 000, rather than receiving a proper number.

Edit:

Another example

https://youtu.be/OkrXeEM-5Ew?t=44s

Here the original character is fused with his rival - and yet again it's listed as 000.

Hmmmm. Not sure then. The game has still left me with a lot of questions.

I don't like Gine's colors though. Green doesn't suit her in that outfit IMO.

That's...honestly not as bad as I was expecting. Should have been SS4 Goku though.

The Demon King fusion is gnarly though...in a bad way.

I agree, that Goku and his favorite dragon ball fusion is not that bad actually. It will grow on me gradually.

Also, we finally have a look at Piccolo and Paikuhan fusion.

My interest with the game died when there is only 49 fusions in the game. There is way more that they could have done than just 49 fusions.

There will have to be more for sequel(s).
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

According to Sandubadear, it seems there is another fusion of Nappa and Raditz. Maybe there are more fusions that what that list shows (although that list skips number 155...).

The EX fusion of Nappa and Raditz is listed there (Rappa).

Wait, only 49 fusions? What about the 1000 characters?

Generic enemies and NPCs, I assume.

The currently revealed QR code characters are numbered as follows:
1010. Future Gohanks
1011. Taks
1012. Great Satanman
1013. Gorus

Speculation: I wonder if 1000-1009 are also set aside for special distribution characters. There could also be more in both directions... You can still cross your fingers for your dream fusion.

I think over 50 new fusions is already a dream come true. I never would have imagined we'd get something like this just a few years ago.

This pic is not working for me, can you upload it somewhere else?

I really don't think only 50 fusions of the actual characters are in the game, from what i have seen we have yet to see fusions from any of the GT villians who we know are in this game and it would make no sense if they don't have at least one fusion with another character from the series IMO.

Keep in mind that they never advertised 1000 characters, just 113... We just saw that number due to a picture of the character slots popping up. Most of them are game original npcs and enemies that can be recruited, like the female Ginyu force.

Also, there are a few What if fusions that aren't Ex Fusions -

44 - Piririn (Piccolo + Kuririn)
47 - Tiencha/Yamhan
59 - Natz (Raditz + Nappa)
69 - Recooter (Recoom + Burter)
70 - Gulce (Guldo + Jeice)

Edit: It seems like they really didn't include the Satan + Goku fusion. I never even thought about the possibility of it not being added to the game.

#4 Star Dragon seems to be the only GT enemy with an EX fusion. No Universe 6 characters got fusions either. Maybe it'll still be possible to fuse the custom character with them though... maybe.

Grandpa Gohan doesn't appear to be on the character list. He was implied to be playable in one or more trailers, wasn't he?
