Not that I know of, but the guy doesn't animate very often if his animator's corner profile is accurate.SaiyanGod117 wrote:Does anyone know if Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru will do any work for Dragon Ball Super in the near future?

Yea he doesn't I checked his profile as well a couple of minutes before I made my post, but I just really love his art style and his work in that Trunks vs Freeza episode was just beautiful art wise.ArchedThunder wrote:Not that I know of, but the guy doesn't animate very often if his animator's corner profile is accurate.SaiyanGod117 wrote:Does anyone know if Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru will do any work for Dragon Ball Super in the near future?

When will Tadayoshi Yamamuro make another episode?
13 is still one of the best episodes. I need him back for Goku vs Black. Him or Tate

He's only worked on one episode per arc, he did the second to last for the BoG arc, he worked on the episode with Freeza's revival and worked on the main Goku Vs Hit episode. He'll probably pop in for an episode near the end of the arc, unless the arc is considerably longer then he might pop up soon and then again at the end of the arc.Mazingerdestro wrote:When will Tadayoshi Yamamuro make another episode?

First of all. Was he in the Golden arc??? I don't remember seen any "great" episode in this arc except the one Tate made.ArchedThunder wrote:He's only worked on one episode per arc, he did the second to last for the BoG arc, he worked on the episode with Freeza's revival and worked on the main Goku Vs Hit episode. Second. Is there a reason why he only makes 1 episode per arc? Isn't he like the "main/big guy in super" since the original character designs are his?
Third. He worked on Goku vs Hit....Well that makes sense.
Lastly. So he works usually on the climax of each arc?
Re: Super Animation Catalogue - [Updated with #54]
He did do episode 19 in that arc. Episode 19 was alright. It looked on model thats all I can say.Mazingerdestro wrote: First of all. Was he in the Golden arc??? I don't remember seen any "great" episode in this arc except the one Tate made.
Yea I wonder what is he doing, or is it because of the schedule. All he does are the endings and sometimes scenes in the openings.Second. Is there a reason why he only makes 1 episode per arc? Isn't he like the "main/big guy in super" since the original character designs are his?
Not really. He did not actually animate the fight, what he did was only the powering up of goku to kaioken.Third. He worked on Goku vs Hit....Well that makes sense.
Not really, as i said above he worked in Episode 19, and #13 of BOG.Lastly. So he works usually on the climax of each arc?

Wait 19???? But that episode was mediocre at best...except some great on model Whis moments it had nothing special.....Don't make me lose faith on the guy. He was the supervisor or just provided 1 or 2 scenes?
Re: Super Animation Catalogue - [Updated with #54]
He was the one of 4 animators of the episode.

Yamamuro solo animates the endings, he did the new OP bits for this arc, and he has to adapt all of Toriyama's designs into sheets to be used for the animation staff and probably also designs most of the original characters, he's probably too busy to regularly work on the show.
As for 19 I think all he did was Freeza's regeneration.

That doesn't explain Super huge censorship.Lord Beerus wrote:One Piece is far more popular than Dragon Ball and the anime's faithfulness to the manga is it's major selling point.FortuneSSJ wrote:It still doesn't make sense, because One Piece airs right after Super and has a lot of blood. A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

Censorship would mean they are removing stuff. JoJo's Bizarre adventure is censored because they cover all of the gore with black, but the blurays are uncensored.FortuneSSJ wrote: That doesn't explain Super huge censorship.
Super for whatever reason just doesn't use much blood, however the only moments so far this arc that I think would have been improved with any blood would be Mai's fake death scene (a small streak of blood coming from her mouth would have worked) and then Trunks should have had some blood on him from his fight with Black (that would have been cleaned off of him by the time Goku and Vegeta showed up.).
We have seen two instances of blood already this arc, one being Trunks having his wounds treated by Mai and another being this most recent episode with him bleeding form his mouth, so I wouldn't be surprised if we get at least a little bit of blood in the climax fight.
My best guess is that they are staying away from using too much blood because they want it to air on channels or time slots in other countries intended for children, so they just cut out the middleman of licensees having to censor blood.
He is listed as the first animator on 39, which means he likely did a lot more than just Goku powering up. But most of the notable stuff from the fight was probably Otsuka.Sodhi wrote: Not really. He did not actually animate the fight, what he did was only the powering up of goku to kaioken.

Back on the subject of the NEP, there is only one shot that really looks bad to me (The rest ranges from meh to totally fine), and it's this.

Hopefully it receives a correction, honestly they can very easily make it look A LOT better without having to change any of the art.
I did this in a matter of seconds, all I had to do was move the nose to the right and the mouth to the left a tiny bit and now it looks totally acceptable. I mean it's still not the greatest or anything, but those minor changes make it so it doesn't bother me.

Woof. That shot in the NEP looks terrible. But as you stated, it can be easily fixed and very quickly. Let's just hope it is.ArchedThunder wrote:Back on the subject of the NEP, there is only one shot that really looks bad to me (The rest ranges from meh to totally fine), and it's this.

Which version, the version from the NEP or my edit? The version from the NEP is very off putting, but with the nose and mouth moved I can see the cuteness, I'm just distracted by the hairline looking so odd and the fact that his jaw goes straight from his chin into his ear.Doctor. wrote:I think that shot looks cute.

Is it still far more popular nowadays though? Doesn't dragonBall merchandise outsell it?Lord Beerus wrote:One Piece is far more popular than Dragon Ball and the anime's faithfulness to the manga is it's major selling point.FortuneSSJ wrote:It still doesn't make sense, because One Piece airs right after Super and has a lot of blood. I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

Dragon Ball is a bigger money maker for Bandai now, but One Piece is a bigger money maker for Toei still.kinisking wrote:Is it still far more popular nowadays though? It'll be interesting to see how that changes once Super starts making the rounds to more countries, especially the US.
