He'll fight for sure but I think it'll be a team fight of him and Trunks against Black.
Anime Kitten wrote:What would you prefer? Recolors or more hair and spikes? Honest question.
I'll be fine with the recolors if Blue is their last form cause Ssjg was a temporary form so Blue could be considered as the only true recolor.

Someone here reversed the Pink Black pic and it turned Blue so maybe it's not a new or separate form but rather a reverse SsjB which could be exclusive to him due to him being evil so if that's the case and Goku and Vegeta don't get it then I guess I'll be OK with it as well.
Alruneia wrote:I don't see this happening, though, as it'd be writing so awful that I don't think Toriyama is capable of it.
I don't either, I think this whole Black situation is just the beginning.

I'm fine with all of the forms currently. I'll only be fine with the existence of Rosé if it's Black-exclusive. Besides, Super Saiyan God was a bit more than a recolor.

"a" Goku when his character lately doesn't desire to do that with our Goku.
Vegeta's been taking kind of a backseat lately. It's a shame because I miss arrogant jerk Vegeta from the Namek/Android arcs.

I feel that they should stick to the transformations and try and perfect them before moving to the next one. That's one of the things I felt the Artificial Humans arc did good with. They explored the original Super Saiyan form and tried to figure out the best way to use it, perfect it, and move to the next level. And some of them made mistakes along the way while trying to do that (cough*Trunks*cough). I felt they moved on from the God form way too fast. I'd of liked if they explored it a bit more. Maybe we could've had a Super Saiyan God Grade 2?

The end.
Ugh, exactly this is what I'm scared about. I'm not asking for Frieza Saga length but they better just not rush the story and end it like that.

For the record I feel like the Tournament Arc and the Retellings worked out as 12-14 episode arcs due to them being pretty straight forward, but with this arc there's so much going around I don't see them (don't want them) wrapping it up in 4-5 episodes.

Also missing Vegeta here. He's not as interesting when he's in the backseat. I'm hoping sending him on that trip with Gokû and Future Trunks wakes him up some.

Also also, hoping they don't rush the ending. I realize they don't have a weekly serial to keep from catching up to, but that doesn't mean the whole thing should be rushed plot-wise.
On hiatus.

So if this is the end of this arc, where the hell was the scary dark arc that they promised us? Besides the scary moments in the beginning of the arc everyrhing was just funny/normall.

This definitely isn't the end of the arc. The pacing has pretty much proven that.

I hope it does end that quick as I hate this arc currently as it is so slow and boring with too much Goku. After episode 55 there will be no Whis and Beerus and we are left with Goku fighting non-stop, Vegeta talking about pride and Trunks having nightmares which did not exactly happen in the Cell arc.

I want Goku Black to fuse with Goku and then kill Vegeta so Trunks has to return to the current timeline, so we can have variety and unpredictability in the show.

Ending it this soon would be very, very anticlimactic so hopefully Goku's fight with pink black will lead into something else.

Since we are presuming there won't have been enough time for Trunks to get stronger in the next episode before arriving in the future in episode 56 (I presume they'll actually arrive in the future at the end of 55).

I really have a good feeling about Goku and Vegeta getting wrecked by Black. Then I could see this happening.

- Vegeta tells his son to return to the past/save the time machine if it's getting targeted again.
- (Potential for Vegeta dying as motivation to Trunks)
- Mai/resitance distract black and rescue Goku (maybe Vegeta too if he doesn't die). I feel the fact that they are gonna meet the resitance means there will be some relevance. (plus it gives potential for scenes of Goku recovering more exposition about Black).
-Trunks comes back to the present, needs to make good on his vow to dad to surpass him and Black. Does the God Ritual (Bulma pregnant with Bra and Future Trunks himself means they would have enough Saiyans).
- (Gohan would have to be present for the God Ritual and has yet to find out why Trunks came to the past in the first place) (God power up for Gohan?)
- Present Trunks wouldn't want to sit on the sidelines development for his character?

They said it was only going to be little bit darker then normal which it was. They didn't say it was a "scary dark arc".

You keep saying predictable, but none of your supposed predicts ever come true. Like how you were sure everyone would have a 'black' character. If this arc is as predicted as you keep claiming, then most of your guesses should be right. The closest you have gotten so far is the Gohan episode. And you were just wrong in many key points last arc. Like you saying Piccolo would beat Frost despite that being a 'predictable' outcome, especially with the fake titles.

Honestly, all your posts read like a bitter fanboy. Just admit it. The show isn't predictable as you keep claiming. You're just mad because you favorite character isn't important anymore.

Even with the ritual, Super Saiyan God Trunks and Gohan would be weaker than Goku and Vegeta since their base forms alone are on par with Super Saiyan God. And there is no way to know that they can keep the power like Goku. Remember, Super Saiyan God is a temporary power up that last only a few minutes. Goku kept the power because he was a prodigy.

Goku barely took a backseat in the Buu saga, at best he took a leisurely stroll round back while everyone else cried for him to come back.

So many things still need to happen and play out so I agree with this 100%. If this arc does end soon I believe it won't be an ending so much as a bridge to something else. I do hope the fight is a long one personally drawn out over at least 2-3 episodes.

It's really hard to say how this should/will all play out. If they don't capsule the time machine right away it will be interesting to see if it is destroyed somehow.

There is no way to know for sure. But half Saiyan hybrids have been shown to have high potential so if they tried the ritual I'm sure it'd stick especially with anime logic.

Plus it would be cool to see Gohan and Trunks training together, only this time Gohan is the student.

It COULD theoretically be wrapped-up, though. They can meet up with Mai in 56, and then Trunks can be happy. Zamasu can witness Black and Goku's fight somehow and that'll change his mind on humanity. Black can explain his entire backstory when Goku asks him about Zamasu. Everything with Future Trunks and Kid Trunks and meeting everyone could have just been fun fanservice that wasn't supposed to lead to anywhere. The Gohan episode was there to tell us why he's not in the final battle. They realised they didn't have much meat to the story, so instead of wrapping it up quick like Super 17, they tried to stretch it out with character interactions to make us think it was more important than it actually was.

...someone prove me wrong here. I want to be proven wrong here.
I could have gotten into anything...and yet I chose the story aimed at young Japanese boys about martial arts, and later about super-powerful aliens punching each other really hard.

Trunks' voice actor says Kid Trunks grows as a character this arc.

Mais' VA says she has a big role... unless screen time equates to a big role.

Trunks has given a vow to surpass Black and Vegeta

Gohan doesn't even know why Trunks came back

Trunks isn't strong enough to make a difference in any fight yet (it's redundant naming the arc after him if he doesn't even get a second fight with a villain)

Zamasu/Black mystery still there.

Ok so this is what the producer said about this arc. This is only a part
"During this nonstop series of desperate situations, with Goku and Vegeta forced into tough fights, expect to see Mai play a surprisingly major role together with Future Trunks!!"
We have not gotten anything in that sentence yet. Infact vegeta has not fought at all other than training. Mai has yet to play a major role. Series of desperate situation?. Only happened in #47. So no i dont think this is the end.

It's debatable but I think the half saiyans could pull it off. Gokus definite a prodigy compared to regular saiyans but so is every saiyan on the show nowadays.

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

Exactly the youngest kids are even prodigies being able to achieve SSJ so easily.

but anyway this is just my idea for how the arc would progress if I was writing it.
