What's the deal with timelines?
Dokkan Battle and both the Xenoverse game seem to be all about timelines, whether it's fixing them or altering them. I don't mind this, but I just want to know what's with the game writers' obsession with timelines? I'd like to see a game where you actually get to play through the whole series without any altered timelines or anything.

Whether they truly take advantage of this or not is an entirely different story, but playing with time travel and the various timelines in games allows the developers to be less restricted in the content they can produce. The recently released Dragon Ball Fusions on 3DS is a perfect example of this.

If you want to play a game not having to do with altered timelines, look no further than Budokai series, the Budokai Tenkaichi series, Raging Blast, Legacy of Goku series, Burst Limit, Infinite World, etc.

If you are newer to the series, than I understand, but for us, weathered and experienced warriors who are fans for almost 2 decades,floofychan333 wrote:Dokkan Battle and both the Xenoverse game seem to be all about timelines, whether it's fixing them or altering them. man, these game are breath of the fresh air. Imagine playing the same old story for 30 games!
Lol, and I've never got the game I wanted, never. Was hoping for Xenoverse 2 including the first Dragon Ball series, but no: ''We can't make them fly, gugh!''

Play all the games that were released in the last decade then.floofychan333 wrote:Dokkan Battle and both the Xenoverse game seem to be all about timelines, whether it's fixing them or altering them. Try the last two decades...! I'd say "even three!" but the series was still on-going prior to that.ShadowBardock89 wrote:Play all the games that were released in the last decade then.
This is all very recent and very new in the grand scheme of things.
