I honestly didn't like Videl at first in the Boo arc. She kinda grew on me but she wasn't as special to me as the other characters. Her "spunk" came off to me as being nosy and rude. I liked her a little in the movies and later on where she was Great Saiyaman 2 and she seemed nicer to me.

Yep, that has to be him. He's rather hot without his shades...
Well I guess that means God and Muten Roshi are the same character

Weren't those two basically the same character?

Toriyama just used God's design from Dr. Slump and added sun glasses for him. I was just poking fun on how you mention that since the tournament announcer and the guy Maron hooked up looked similar that they were the same character.

I'm carrying this over from another thread...

The "Frieza" spelling is better than "Freeza". Whenever I see the latter, I always read it as "Freeeza" (longer e).

I see the "I" as random. You're supposed to convey that it's a word based on a freezer. I still ponder the logic behind it. I've never read it as "Fryza", but I was long conditioned to both hearing and translating it with the pun in mind, so that might be a factor. After all, one of the Goku vs Freeza episodes were my first exposures to the series via VHS fan-subs.

Battle of Gods was good for being a revival movie (after Yo! Son Goku), but it could've been better for being a Dragon Ball Z movie.

Brice Armstrong should've done Kaio or Muten Roshi. Either one would've been great. Maybe even both.

RR Army arc is the best arc in the entire series. The plot, comedy, adventure, action, Toriyama's artwork everything in it was just fabulous. It is Toriyama's peak as a writer.

I'm surprised that this is an unpopular opinion! This is where Dragon Ball achieves the perfect balance between action and adventure, with a lot of quick, varied fights that never overstay their welcome. Most of the major world-building in Dragon Ball was done in the RR arc, with up-close-and-personal looks at West City and Karin Sanctuary, and Penguin Village and Arale as a bonus. Perhaps most of all, we have Goku at his best, able to carry the story completely on his own, and giving us a truly great moment when he finally reunites with his Grandpa.

(I also second the artwork comment. This is where Toriyama finally got out of that pudgy post-Dr. Slump art-style and adopted a really clean, cute look for the characters.)

The Mercenary Tao section is one of my favorite parts of the whole series, and it shows.

Do you guys think we'll ever see another arc written as well as the RRA arc or the Saiyan arc?

I think the only thing I disliked about the arc was Silver, the episodes leading up to his fight with Goku build him up to be at least a bit of a challenge, but NOPE; Goku completly dominates him. I guess I just thought that the first 1V1 fight of the arc would last a bit longer.

Also, I'm pretty sure Baba's tournament counts as it's own arc and is not apart of the RR Arc.

That's really only a anime issue, in the manga, Sliver gets little to no build up.

Honestly, no. Unless the current arc of Super is. Otherwise, it's very unlikely.

I don't dislike the RRA arc, but Goku runs through the RRA with very little opposition.

I used to really really hate Gohan but I've always loved Goten. Probably my least popular DBZ opinion.
