Back on-topic, does all the DLC, and presumably characters, from XV being in the base game here mean the story will cover it all, or will we be forced to play Parallel Quests to unlock the same characters as the first game?

I personally wouldn't mind unlocking everyone again as that's one of my favorite things to do in fighting games

I think it would be smart to have each transformation to be a separate costume for Freeza, Cooler and Cell but not for Buu. But Super Buu can have Buuhan Buutenks and Buuccolo as costumes.

But for all of these, they all get separate movesets, like 3rd form Freeza having that creepy rapid fire Death Beam, Imperfect Cell having the Tayoken, and Buutenks having the Ghost Kamikaze, etc...

I wouldn't either, however I don't want to need to unlock the same characters as the first game in Parallel Quests (save that for the new additions that don't make it in the story).

I'm kinda disappointed that Majin Vegeta was are only new character reveal this time around.. I guess there's always hope we'll get more with a trailer sometime soon.

It really seems like they have much to show so they'll just show small bits and pieces every month to make it seem like they have a lot.

The game was announced in June and as of now they've only announced 3 new characters, Tullce, Slug & Cooler.

Majin Vegeta and Time breaker Bardock are just alternate versions of the characters so they don't count.

1st form Cell & #16 should've been in the 1st game so they don't count as well.

Imperfect Cell and 16 still have totally new movesets and we don't know if Majin Vegeta or the Masked Saiyan have unique movesets. On top of that you're forgetting Future Gohan, Janemba, Super Gogeta, Dodoria and Zarbon, these are all characters with totally new movesets. They likely just don't want to reveal too many characters and they already said they don't want to reveal them all, they didn't even reveal all of the characters for the first game. They probably also want to leave most of the story a mystery for players to experience instead of spoiling it, so they've pretty much been focusing on the hub world and the improvements to the combat. They've also said there is a lot more to do compared to the first game but they haven't shown that stuff yet outside of giving us a picture of a 6 player mission. They're probably holding off on talking about the new features and the improved character creator until it's time for the beta.

I think it would translate as in "Heinous Mode" or something close.
I don't know if it is worth mentioning, but they refer to Majin Vegeta as "Prince of Destruction Vegeta".

Well, considering that Budokai 3 had Broly stronger then Kid Buu, are oyu really surprised that they're doing this? Also, don't we have a whole thread dedicated to someone going "Stop hating Broly guys!"
