This looks great, I'm so excited!
The animation that NEP looking stunning. You can tell that was the episode they put the more effort in because it has the new marquee transformation to advertise.

It was good to see Toma get back to his thick lines a bit. That Tate hype can't be contained, and Super Saiyan Rose actually looks kinda cool to me.

Iwai Koji was the storyboard artist this week, and boy did he do great. He actually has experience as an animator, and he's worked on shows like Rurouni Kenshin in the past. This is his first time working on Super in any capacity, and he did a really great job with the storyboards. That scene with Gowasu and Zamasu having tea was done extremely well. I hope he comes back!

This was the first episode I've watched on stream completely, and while nothing was impressive everything looked fine throughout. There were only a few weird looking Kaioshin faces, but those didn't look too horrendously bad to me.

I'm so glad Future Mai is coming back. Also, Rosé's aura looks awesome.

This shot of Black in the extended NEP is simply wonderfully evil. My word.

It definitely looks like Tate and Manabe got the chance to add a touch of polish to 56. Fingers crossed that we get some really great animation!

I don't want to jump to conclusions early, but from the NEP at the very least it seems like they actually had a good amount to work on the episode. I wonder at what point during these 11 weeks that the storyboard was finished.
Fingers crossed, next week could be Super's(and Tate's) big moment to finally shine!

There hasn't been a single shot of Goku Black that has looked bad or off-model in Super so far. He has been the most consistently well drawn character.

Updated with the image on the main page and post from earlier this evening.

Took a little longer than usual since I was tied up finishing my Tate supervisor video. So happy with it.

Can't wait to show it off tomorrow!

I look forward to it! Though I doubt this will stop the Tate haters.

I like shots like those. This reminds me of one from #39, manabe was supervisor for that episode too.

This was the only Toma episode that I liked besides for maybe 4. I was dreading this episode knowing he was going to be in it but it turned out good.

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

Damn that was a great episode.
Heck the Zamasu shots were the best.
Well directed and they were able without showing blood to make him creepy.
The storyboard people did the trick this week

Anddddddd it's up!

Super Supervisors - Ep #2 - Naoki Tate

Probably the biggest video project I've ever completed. The timeline was ridiculous!

Took me 13 hours of straight editing yesterday to get it done. Gathering all the relevant examples took forever.

I hope it was worth it! Kinda dreading the comments...

Once again, absolutely wonderful job! I can tell that you had a ton of fun with this one. I really hope this opens the eyes of a few people. I expected you to touch on episode 38 a little more than you did, but it is understandable why you didn't, seeing how long your video was already! The Mamoru Hosoda bit was especially necessary and incredibly interesting, and you covered the progression of Tate's style very nicely. Very high quality stuff.

Yeah I don't think I should have read the comments. That's Youtube for you though!

Potentially off topic at the moment but would anyone be so kind as to post that beautiful full body shot of Goku Ssj2 from episode 53 right before he begins his sparring session with Zamasu? I would greatly appreciate it

Anyone else think Black's eyes are often a bit too wide to look really evil? If they drew them like this more often, it might be more menacing looking...
