Re: Favorite Filler Saga in Super?
Super only really had one filler arc which is the Super Human Water arc the rest of the filler is just one-offs.

Ep 43 which was Gokuu and Piccolo taking care of Pan . Rest everything was horrible especially the Copy arc which is the worst filler ever in DB.

Re: Favorite Filler Saga in Super?
None. All fillers of Dragon Ball Super has been boring (including Toei's retellings of the movies).
Re: Favorite Filler Saga in Super?
Saga? The only filler saga we have is the copy saga, and that was awful.
However, my favourite filler episode, if not straight up favourite episode, is the one with Goku and Pan.

Goku can't control his Ki....It was a little fan.

Honestly it's all been bad. The stuff with pan, and the ki control, the copy vegeta thing....it's all so poorly animation, written, bad music. It's just bad. The show should stay on the track they're doing with the black/trunks arc. major improvement.
Any post before 8/7/2016 isn't mine. This account was a gift from someone who thought the account was already banned. Saved me the trouble of making a new one haha XD
I love DB/DBZ/DBGT/DBZK/DBS (If I didn't why would I be here? XD)

Yeah, I'm also not sure we've had any real filler -arcs- in Super outside of the Copy arc, and I didn't really like that at all. That being said, 43 was probably my favorite "filler" episode. I think that episode was almost good enough to have been the end of Super if they tweaked it. Most other filler episodes have at least some connection to the story, but the closest thing to a mini downtime arc that I really enjoyed were the episodes right before the 'F' arc really got underway, #16 being a prime example.

The only good filler episode was the pan one.

Re: Favorite Filler Saga in Super?
Super only has one filler arc which is the Potaufeu arc. I guess being the only one, it wins by default.
Potaufeu arc has a better plot, better fights, and a much better cast of characters than any of them.
In particular, it's almost impossible to do a worse arc than the Wedding Dress one and Toei still didn't accomplished that feat.
Not only because it barely had any fight, but also because anyone can easily come up with a better plot and a better main duo than Goku/Chichi.
We have now a much richer cast than back then. Jaco/Monaka combo alone is already much better than them.
Unfortunately, Wedding Dress and Fake Planet Namek filler arcs exist so that's not true.Saikyo no Senshi wrote:Rest everything was horrible especially the Copy arc which is the worst filler ever in DB.

A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

Re: Favorite Filler Saga in Super?
I can't really talk about sagas because, as it was said before, we have several "filler" episodes but only one filler saga, which is too bad to win even if it's the only one
If we talk about filler moments, I have to mention the battle between Goku and "Monaka". It was hilarious to see how everyone tried to cover Beerus. I also appreciated all the filler episodes between the BOG and ROF sagas, as they were the first opportunities to get to see some fresh DB material.

Re: Favorite Filler Saga in Super?
Between Toei's retellings of the movies, there was episode 15 which was filler too (with Super Saiyan Mr Satan and such nonsense). As far as I can tell, Freeza arc begins in the sixteenth episode.

Training with Whis (everything between the fight with Beerus and Freeza's arrival) and episode 43 with Pan by a long shot.
The Copy Vegeta arc is probably my least favorite filler arc in Dragon Ball. Something that begins with a cast of Goten, Trunks, Monaka, Vegeta and Jaco and winds up that boring is a crime.

Mr.Satan vs. Blue lion dude filler arc. It was funny and entertaining.
I dislike the copy vegeta arc due to the Gotenks fight completley destroying power scaling in super.

The freeza training arc, where he trains like crazy, doing tail pushups in 1 million g, training inside a core of a sun, playing volleyball with planets, arm wrestling with tagoma, then going to ROSAT for 3 months (92 years) with a regeneration tank for Tagoma.
That was amazing
in my fanfic dreams.

Re: Favorite Filler Saga in Super?
I actually think it was one of the biggest missed opportunities of both the movie and TV version that we didn't get to see Freeza go on his own evil version of the wuxia training journey.apex_pretador wrote:The freeza training arc, where he trains like crazy, doing tail pushups in 1 million g, training inside a core of a sun, playing volleyball with planets, arm wrestling with tagoma, then going to ROSAT for 3 months (92 years) with a regeneration tank for Tagoma.
Braving harsh environments, obtaining mystical items, finding (and threatening) cosmic sage masters, etc. Could've been an amazing montage.
There are so many gag spins you could put on standard training images/sequences just with the jokes that he's either already cosmically powerful or evil.

Re: Favorite Filler Saga in Super?
Episode 43 was wonderful and one the best filler episodes in the franchise's history. Up there with the likes of the Great Saiyaman shenanigans and the Otherworld Tournament. The Copy Vegeta arc, by contrast, rank among the worst filler the franchise had produced. Down there there with the likes of Fake Namek, Garlic Jr and Maron.
