Good quality of female Otherworlder and Alien:

Btw, I was looking at some videos to see if I could find who are the guys who do Maxi Fusion with Pinich, Cell, and Freeza, but I wasn't sure if Pinich's party changes depending on the game or if the characters are always the same. I saw videos from ShonenGameZ and another random person, and the party is the same on both videos, so I guess it's these guys:

I wonder...

Has anyone tried maxi-fusing SSJ Pinich, Wanta, Pipima, Cell and Frieza in a local VS match?

Yeah same thing. I was wondering what happens when you fuse exact same characters used to create that final boss.

It's likely that the regular Maxi Fusions would appear. If you start with Pinich or Pipima, he would be the male Saiyan Maxi Fusion, if you start with Freeza, the Alien Maxi Fusion, with Cell or Wanta, the Earthling Maxi Fusion (Cell is considered an Earthling, as are all the Androids). Maxi Pinich is probably unplayable.

Is it me, or does it seem like the fusions are a completely unnecessary component to the game. It doesn't seem like it really adds much. Obviously I haven't played it, but for those who have, am I missing something?

I haven't played it either, but this seems to be basically a "monster" capturing game in a way, just with Dragonball characters. Fusions are just a way to lock special characters behind getting other characters - with the added benefit of combining two movesets into one. It's not a feature in the most famous monster capturing game (Pokemon), but it's actually fairly common for the genre in general, probably because the first monster capturing game had it as a big feature (Megami Tensei). Although obviously it's not the same thing, Inazuma Eleven had a relationship chart where you had to fill some characters in order to unlock others. Gameplay-wise, this seems like a similar concept.

For those of you who have the game and don't speak Japanese, how is it? IS the menu/guide understandable enough to get the mechanics of the game. Is worth it? If there is no western release, I'll probably wait until the end of the year to get it. Basically what I"m asking is how playable is it for someone who understand an inkling of Japanese.

I can get through it just fine. Sure, some of the subquests can be hard to figure out (using a certain move 3 times on Uub for example), but the Google Translate phone app helps a lot. There are a lot of conversation choices, but so far it hasn't seemed to really do anything different when picking different ones. Picking the top answer every time works just fine, lol.

What techniques does Bra have in the game?
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

All I've seen is the Super Maiden Burst (or whatever that blue explosive wave was called) and the ability to fuse with Pan. I'm also curious.

It's funny, I was one of the first people to say those maxi-fusions look like that, but that's the thing.

I said they looked like that, not that they were. Somehow, someone from that wikia must have took those words as fact.

Sorry, but that was already on the Wikia before you said that. I saw it recently. :P

The females have nothing basically other than the burst and the maiden rushes.

Well, that's... kinda lame. But then again, what should we really expect from Dragon Ball? That's what fan-fiction is for, I guess.

Well... and pardon my language... shit. That's extremely disappointing. Between that, the lack of fusion options (especially in GT and Super), the amount of strange fusion names and the amount of odd fusion looks, I'm beginning to think that this game isn't as good as I first thought... though that one's on me, since it was my expectations, not theirs.
