Are these faces custom? Or is it a game? Is it a Advance Adventure continuation? (It does seem to pic where AA stopped (Piccolo Daimao-23 Budokai).

It's from one of those text heavy games.
For the SNES... I dunno the name, though
I think that was the one where each save screen had the cover of a volume for it's background?

They look like they're from the Super Famicom RPGs, Gokuden and Gokuden 2.
